If you would like to enjoy seeing the sights of Rome and then relax in a quiet place far from traffic noise, you can choose Casa Fratocchi apartment. Located just a few underground stops away from the most important sights in Rome, the apartment is the annex of a one family house in Rome that lies in a quiet neighbourhood far from the traffic noise of big cities but very near to the metro station of Arco di Travertino with which is very easy to reach the centre of the town. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed (on request we can add another bed) and the other with 2 single beds, one bath with shower and a well-equipped kitchen (microwave, mixer). TV, free WI-FI and air conditioning are available. A table and four chairs under a garden umbrella let you have lunch or dinner outside when the weather is good and let you relax after a long sightseeing of Rome. On request you can park in the courtyard(for a small extra charge).

In the neighbourhood: Parco della Caffarella (Appia Antica Park): from here you can take a pleasant and long walk or ride to the Appia Antica. You can rent bicycles near the park. Parco dell' Antica via Latina contains the tombs of the ancient Roman time with very important stucco and fresco decorations.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at this property. The owner was flexible with our arrival times and greeted us on our way in with some tips for navigating the area. The area across the road is a little run down looking, but we never felt unsafe. The house was beautiful, with a nice little patio to sit on in the mornings. There is also a metro station just down the road for easy transportation to and from the city and she also offered to set up our cab to the airport on the day of our departure. I will definitely be keeping this property in mind if we visit again!

Summary: The apartment was very clean, had everything you needed and the host does an excellent job of assisting with anything and makes great offers for local places. The house is secure and even though it is in the center of the city you can’t hear it. After the chaos of Rome it was great to retreat back to this place. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Summary: Martina was a great host, welcomed us in person and the house had a manual for meeting our needs… from using the AC, to where the closest grocery stores were. Their dog Lucy was a lovely addition, she welcomed us cheerfully every time we came home. Transportation is within walking distance and it was a nice quiet street. I would definitely stay there again.

Summary: We would highly recommend this fantastic apartment, it is clean, very well kept and equipped and met all our needs for our four night stay in Rome. Great access to the metro, easy to leave the busy Rome central in just a few stops and have such a peaceful place.

Summary: Martina was absolutely lovely, she made the checking in process so smooth, and she gave us a warm welcome! The apartment is beautiful and is really good location wise with fantastic links to the centre of Rome! Would highly recommend!

Summary: Very comfortable accommodation in a quiet area, close to metro & good supermarket nearby. Outside eating area & garden were an added bonus. Martina was very helpful & available and had set up an excellent folder of useful local information. We loved Lucy, the dog, so gentle and companionable. Thanks for a lovely stay in Rome.

Summary: We stayed in couple for one week in the beginning of may 2016. Very convenient location (about 100 meters from metro, bus terminal, little supermarket with everything you need and a big parc ideal for runners) which allows access to the city center in a few minutes while being in a calm area. The place is very clean and well equiped (Martina has thought of all the little détails that make your life easier) with a dedicated space in the garden for meals. Martina and her family are very discrete but helpful if you need. You feel at home. If we come back, we will certainly stay here again and we will recommend to our friends.

Summary: We stayed in the appartment in April 2014 with 4 persons (2 adults and 2 children). The appartment lies in a very quiet neigbourhood in the garden behind the house of the owners. The appartment is very close to the metro which brings you in about 10/15 minutes to the centre of Rome. The appartment is small but we had no problems with the 2 children. Perhaps the bed for our oldest daughter (13 yrs) could be a little bit larger but she managed to sleep well. The appartement is very well equipped and clean. There are books which explanation of things to do. The owner is very friendly and helpfull. If we'd ever return we certainly go back to this appartment. We can recommend this appartment!

Summary: The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped in a southern suburb of Rome. Air conditioning was great and much needed!. Directions for arrival by car were supplied and easy to follow. There is easy access by metro or bus into the centre of Rome and all the sites. The apartment was in a nice quiet residential area so you can get more of a feel of real Italy. Supermarkets, market, restaurants and shops near by and sitting out in the small allocated garden area was nice. I even walked to the Attica road, though recommend taking the bus as no pavement in some areas! It is well worth visiting.I skipped the doing the Colosseum and glad I did with the Attica Road, parks and villas instead. Martina was extremely helpful and lots of tourist information available in the apartment. Well recommended and if we come back to Rome a repeat stay here will be booked! Thank you to Martina for her help during our stay.
