This newly renovated studio apartment has gorgeous panoramic views of Torrey Pines State Reserve, Peñasquitos Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the scenery from your windows, private balcony, and large deck. Located in a residential neighborhood, it's a short walk to a coffee shop, 4 restaurants, and Torrey Pines State Beach. Nearby Torrey Pines State Reserve has miles of trails. for every ability. Drive 2 miles north to the seaside village of Del Mar or hop on the I-5 or 56 freeways to easily access within minutes all that beautiful San Diego has to offer.
The studio is bright and airy; windows and skylights provide lots of natural light but black out shades provide darkness when you want to sleep in. We've tried to provide everything we like in a home-away-from home! The modern kitchen has what's generally needed to prepare, cook and store food, but if there's an additional appliance you like to use, we're happy to lend it. The furnishings are contemporary, and we're told that the bed and bath linens are especially comfy. Washer and dryer are on property. Store your golf clubs, bike or surf/paddle board in the secure garage. Beach chairs, towels and umbrella are provided, and there is an outdoor shower to wash off sand. Off-street driveway parking spot is included.
The studio is located above our detached garage. You access it by entering our shared, enclosed courtyard, then have one flight of stairs to your front door and private deck. Motion detector lights illuminate your way after dark.

Trains occasionally traverse the Peñasquitos Lagoon valley and sometimes aircraft from MiraMar Airbase stray from their normal flight path. All these occurrences are commonplace in coastal Del Mar; we hope they won't impact your stay with us.

Summary: Well appointed studio with a beautiful view was a nice place to call home for the week with an added bonus of being able to walk a few blocks to get a great cup of coffee on the way to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and the hospitality was great.

Summary: Our stay in the Coastal Del Mar condo was spectacular and so were our hosts, Paul and Carol. They were so helpful with beach gear we might need, to helping us with a get together of 6 of our friends on the larger deck. Carol brought out a banquet table for us, and Paul made sure we had enough chairs and wine glasses. thank you so much.The location is amazing. Bird watching, sunrises and sunsets all are here! Several restaurants and a liquor store nearby. It really is only .6 mile walk to the beach through the North Torrey Pines State Park parking lot. From there you can go north into town or south to Torrey Pines (up the big hill with fantastic views!).If you get a chance, go to the Poseidon Restaurant in Del Mar for happy hour. Great appetizers and drinks at almost half price; Plus the ocean view. If you have your bike or want to hike/walk, there is a very good bike path just east of the condo. It is the SR- 56 Bike path which parallels the Ted Williams Parkway. It is a tad noisy at times due to the cars but very pretty. For the two of us, there was plenty of space in the condo. Already looking forward to our return trip back. Again, thank you to such amazing hosts.

Summary: Carol and Paul were excellent hosts. They went out of their way to help us in many ways, which we appreciated, as we were new to the area.The unit was also well-equipped. The location was very walkable to coffee, a few restaurants and, though a bit farther, to the central area of Del Mar and its amenities. And still it was near enough to the rest of San Diego. We would definitely stay there again.

Summary: We loved everything about our 30 day stay. The studio offered great views, a comfortable bed, multiple patios and a well equipped kitchenette. It is clean and well maintained. Carol and Paul are the most gracious hosts ever! We hope to return soon.

Summary: The studio was such a great retreat. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked for the times we wanted to make our own meals. The patio was nicely appointed with lounge chairs, chairs and a fire pit. We walked to the beach and to the local eateries that were very good.

Summary: Carol and Paul are amazing hosts. Welcoming, thoughtful, and truly a pleasure to stay with. It feels like a home away from home and is hard leaving this slice of So Cal, but we will return next year. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
