After years of traveling throughout America's great Northwest and the Northwoods, the owners of Big Timber wanted to bring a similar experience to their home area. In 2016 Big Timber Luxury Cabin was developed. It is a true log cabin experience only with the luxury touches of designer appointed interior finishes and everything else you would desire in a home. Big Timber is located in Perry County, Indiana. The cabin is surrounded by forested hills, rock cliffs and a scenic River valley. It is situated on a bluff above the water with fantastic views overlooking the Ohio River and the Hoosier National Forest.
The cabin has a large dine in kitchen with all appliances, a family room on the main level and an additional family room on the lower level. There are three large bedrooms (2 queens, 1 king) and 2 full bathrooms (maximum occupancy 6). The lower level of the cabin is a walkout to the lower deck and offers access to the rear lawn area. A walking path from the covered porches on the main level and the lower level deck lead to a new stone patio with a wood burning fire pit overlooking the Ohio River. Both decks have ample leisurely seating and great panoramic views.
Big Timber Cabin is located just 20 minutes south of Interstate 64 in Perry County - about 1 hour west of Louisville and 2.5 hours south of Indianapolis.

Summary: First the cabin couldn't have been nicer. Everything was furnished with high-end furniture, kitchen items and linens. The view was spectacular. The Ohio River in all her glory was right there, visible from the windows surrounding the back and side of the cabin and oh the deck! We were treated to many barges going up and down the river. We even managed, this late in the season, one houseboat. Our hosted paid so much attention to detail. From everything being exceptionally clean to the sets of towels for each of us done up with shower needs and all tied up in a raffy bow. This was such a wonderful way to celebrate 20 years of marriage. Thank you

Summary: Tastefully decorated cabin overlooking the mighty Ohio river. Well stocked and furnished with comfort. Lights were on to greet us and it was an instant release looking and feeling the power and history of this secluded corner of the Ohio river.

Summary: Great stay, right on the water, cabin matches as advertised. Only comment is mattresses on the beds are on the firm side - if you are sensitive to firm mattresses pick up a memory foam pad on the drive in.

Summary: We love this cabin. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing and beautiful inside and out. The cabin has a security system complete with video camera front and back that added some peace of mind. We saw a baby fox, turtles, beavers, and other wildlife. Watching the barges go by was a plus. We saw a few boats and no loud speed boats. We can't wait to go again. Thank you Betty and Ray for shareing this cabin for others to enjoy.
