Enjoy this comfortably equipped classic Kiwi Bach which was, in a previous incarnation, the old schoolhouse. Well appointed and set privately off the road, you can enjoy views overlooking Russell, Paihia and Waitangi along with fabulous sunsets from the verandah. The large front lawn is ideal for sunbathing, dining or to play cricket, croquet or frisbee on. It is also frequented by a family of wekas who will happily accept any pieces of spare bread you leave there..
Safe and attractive Long Beach is a 3 minute walk away. There are many local walking tracks and beaches to explore and historical sites to visit.
Head down to the Russell waterfront and wharf for cafes and any fishing or tour bookings you might like to make.

Summary: Cottage has amazing views and was cosy with candles and heater on in the evenings. Great we could take the dogs along, walk to the beach and monopoly to keep us busy on the rainy days!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in Crewcottage ! The house has everything you need , it has a home from home feeling , very comfortable. Garden is great for children, the beach is 2 minutes walk from the house , and very close to Russell . Penny was great to deal with , always quick to reply . We would definitely stay here again 5 ⭐

Summary: The weather was great so we spend most of our time on the deck which has a brilliant view over the water to Pahia. Pet friendly with a great garden. It is an easy walk to the wharf and beautiful Long Beach. We will definitely come again.

Summary: Cute little ‘old-school’ bach with amazing views over Russell. Total privacy but close enough to walk to both the beach and central Russell. A bonus that it is also dog-friendly. A real find!

Summary: This is our second stay at Crew Cottage, idyllic setting, easy walk to Long Beach each morning for a swim and coffee. Russell village also walking distance, the sunsets and the view from the deck are amazing .

Summary: We just loved our Easter break at the "old school house" The property at the front looks over long beach and the back of the house faces Russell and across to Waitangi - sunrise in one direction and suntset in the other! Beach and town so easily accessible on foot. The property boasts a lovely large flat lawn, ideal for a game of cricket with the kids, it's so private too - you cannot see any of the neighbouring houses from the garden. The house is really comfy with all the mod cons, bluetooth speakers, netflix and the kitchen is well equipped with lovely crockery and plenty of utensils - you can tell it's a well used, well loved bach.

Summary: This is a fantastic place to stay, super cool house with the most amazing views. We had all our meals on the deck enjoying the surroundings. Great outdoor living and perfect as a pet friendly place to stay, our dog loved it. Short walk to Long Beach and 15 min walk into Russell for great restaurants and bars. Penny the property manager was fantastic and facilitated brilliantly. We will definitely return.
