Summary: We loved every bit about our stay! From the people of Eguisheim to the delicious wines, walks in the vineyard, Christmas markets, nearby castles, Europa Park to the great house that Claude has made very cosy and comfortable! We will definitely be back and highly recommend a stay here!

Summary: Unusual property with many original features, the stairs could be a problem for older persons, Lots of tourists at the front of the property taking photos could get annoying, but we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Excellent location in city center. Beautiful 400 year old building with new bathrooms and very workable kitchen. Free parking 5 minutes away. Claude is friendly and responsive. Great lodging if you are not challenged by narrow stairs.

Summary: Needed a good airing. Plenty of beds but not sure where everyone would sit if all the beds were full. "Terrace" was more of a small cage. Location however absolutely perfect. And the neighbour restores top end sports cars.

Summary: We spent 9 days in this delightful home and could not have been happier. It was very clean and well equipped with charm that made our time in Eguisheim very memorable. We can't say enough about the owner and his kindness to help us in every way he could, right from the first phone call until we left. We loved Eguisheim and the bike rental shop right next door was perfect. Don't miss a chance to ride in the vineyards from town to town, it was spectacular. Summary: Gite/cottage: Owners are quite charming, accommodating and attentive. First venture to France for an extended stay and they made it easy and enjoyable. The owners speak French, English and German and they were able to answer our many questions. Their pictures of their cottage are exact and real. The cottage was very clean when we arrived. Village: Eguisheim, France is quaint and distinctive by their half timbered homes and romantic cobblestone alleys. For dining experiences, there is a variety of very expensive to the more laid back and not so expensive. A few times we just grabbed a baguette, some different cheeses and meats for a meal for a light lunch or dinner. Groceries: local eggs, lard paisson (bacon), various meats and escargot can be purchased in the village or you can go to the Hyper U or Cora markets in nearby Colmar. The cottage has a coffee pot and espresso machine. Wine tasting: Tasting Alsatian wines is a must. The white wines we tried were not too sweet and pleasantly dry. Our goal was to unplug and disconnect from our busy lives with our two teenagers. This area was majestic in its setting and accommodated our needs. There is plenty to do if you desire. Located right next to the Pigeon House. Next door is a bike rental for full or half days. Neighboring villages have museums, river rides and lots more if you are looking. Highly recommend his place for your next getaway.
