Summary: The location was amazing, looking out over a lake and some small mountains. It was a pretty close drive to Selfoss and even closer to a minimart. The house itself was a great size; I was alone but there was definitely room for others. The only issue was that it was already booked for part of trip already!

Summary: My daughter and I enjoyed 3 nights here as our home base for exploring the south coast. Very comfortable bed, great view, cozy and clean. Our host was responsive and thoughtful and made us feel cared for. Easy 15-20 min drive to groceries, bakeries and restaurants. We loved it!

Summary: Couldn't ask for a better location and the cabin is perfect for two people. We loved having a kitchen and the wifi was plenty strong for a few Zoom meetings we had to have during our stay. I wish our dogs were there too because they would have loved running around in the enormous yard!

Summary: This property is perfect for anyone looking to really experience and explore Iceland like a local. The location is ideal for a day drive around the Golden Circle and for exploring the rest of the beautiful south. The home itself was lovely - you will feel like you’re in a luxury cabin in your own private Icelandic valley (also the beds are so comfortable you will just melt away into a calming sleep.) Our host was as amazing as her home, she gave the best recommendations for things to do and places to eat, she really helped us to feel like a local and even kept us up to date on possible Aurora appearances! 10/10 would recommend booking this home, I’ve told all my friends about it already, it was that good.

Summary: Our host was gracious, easy to communicate with, and helpful. The cozy cabin is first rate. Super clean, great kitchen fully equipped. Bring coffee for the French press and a Mr coffee machine. Comfy beds, small but good washing machine. Racks for drying. The view is amazing, the cabin is ridiculously cute. We’ve been in this Iceland a few times, 8 nights this time. This place stands out as among the best.

Summary: We used this cabin for our home base for day trips on the Reykjanes Peninsula, Snaefellsnas Peninsula, Golden Circle, and down the south coast as far as Vik. It was a perfect size for my husband and I celebrating our 20th anniversary and was very clean. The small kitchen was convenient for preparing breakfast and packing food for lunch. We spent long days sightseeing so did not end up cooking evening meals at the cabin but chose to eat out. The washing machine is very small so only plan to wash basic things like base layers and hiking socks and everything must be hung to dry so keep that in mind as well. There is a drying rack hanging over the washing machine in the bathroom. The only change I would have liked would be having a top sheet on the bed in addition to the fitted sheet and the comforter as I got very hot sleeping under the comforter (sounds impossible in Iceland but true!). The host was very accommodating and helpful with sightseeing tips and always responded to our questions quickly.
