First I would like to explain that to reach the house by car, you need experience on narrow mountain roads.
The road is paved, but it is quite narrow and has sharp curves with slopes.
To get to the house there is 3. 9 km (15 minutes) of narrow road from Biniaraix and 7km (25 minutes) from the petrol station of Soller
We say this because people are not used to this type of road and the road from Biniaraix to the house can make it difficult if you don't have some experience in driving on narrow roads.
The last two curves just before to get to the house are a bit closer and are together (These two curves are in the last two photos of the ad) and it is possible that some inexperienced drivers have to make a maneuver.
We have a Renault Kangoo and climb without any problem
To reach the house always recommend a small car or medium.
We also want to say that thanks to this narrow path, the landscape and the area has been preserved very little built, which makes it a very green place with great views, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting
The house is in a sunny place very well located for hiking.
From the house you can make excursions to the Barranc de Biniaraix, Puig de L'Ofre, Es Cormadors or Es Portell de sa Costa

Summary: We had a wonderful stay high up in the mountains . The place is very spacious and looks even better that in the photos. It is a 30 min ride on a very narrow, curvy, steep road with the occasional vehicle coming from the other direction, not for the faint of heart. We did not leave the mountain only every other day, not only because of the drive but also because it is so peaceful and relaxing to just stay there, certainly compared to the rest of the island. Juan, the host is great, he answered all questions, quickly. One tip, use Apple Maps for the final stretch, Google maps is not accurate in the area, it has another road from the property towards the NE which does not exist.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much. The mountain location was so beautiful you didn’t want to leave it even to explore a nearby beach. The drive up and down is a challenging 25 mins with very steep and blind zigzags so we didn’t attempt to do it in the dark. However, we found the lovely village of Fornalutx by hiking 50mins each way which we did for eating out in the evenings. The restaurants are very good there. We stayed in 34 degrees heat in August and the evenings were difficult for sleeping with no AC but still worth it. The house is very spacious and indoor and outdoor kitchens very well equipped. Pool was also so wonderful to enjoy the view. Our kids loved hearing the sheep every day and passing by the friendly donkeys on our walks. We had a fabulous stay thank you!

Summary: Great house, lovely host and absolute gorgeous surroundings. If you want time to yourself with nature, that is your place to go. There are 3 points you have to be aware of. First you really need a small car. We rented this time a Fiat 500 and it went great. Second point is planning your grocery trips. 30 to 40 minutes to the next supermarket in Soller. And third you need a good mosquito repellent. This house is high up on the mountain in the woods. They are everywhere. As are the sheeps who are coming each morning and evening for a friendly visit. The pool is wonderful for refreshing. We will certainly be back for our next couple vacation.

Summary: We enjoyed the fantastic location in a quiet area with a beautiful view. Lovely house, good indoor and outdoor kitchen. Invigorating little pool. And nice waking up with sheep sounds. Nice and helpful owner.

Summary: What an amazing property on the Tramontana mountains. Joan has rebuilt an old stone cottage and converted it into an incredible restful retreat. Fantastic view to wake up to surrounded by nature, grazing sheep and millennial olive trees. Watch the setting sun over Soller and take a dip in the pool to cool down after a hike,. Summary: Fabulous house in the mountains, it contained everything we needed. The views were to die for! Lots of eagles, mountain sheep, olive & lemon groves. Amazing outdoor space including barbecue & pool. Bit warm through the night, challenging 15 minute drive up to the property on single track troad with hairpin bends but very doable & got easier with practice! Just call in at the supermarket while you’re out for the day. Would definitely stay there again.

Summary: LOVED IT. We REALLY enjoyed our stay the Mallorca mountain cottage. We weren't sure what to expect but we are glad we committed, primarily due to the reviews. It is true, the photos don't do the place justice. It truly is a unique and lovely property. Yes, the drive was daunting at first but grew to be manageable ... just make sure you stock up on plenty of deliciously (and cheap!) vino and yummy meats and treats for grilling in the amazing outdoor grill. We preferred to only make the drive up/down 1x per day - this might not be an ideal for those who plan on going back and forth a lot (drinking heavily or at night) but it's fine as long as you plan accordingly. The house was obviously very well built and thoughtfully designed, right down to the integrated bedrock in the living spaces. My architect husband definitely approved! The outdoor spaces were well laid out and the views to die for. Wild mountainous terrain and olive trees for miles! The sun comes from behind the mountain so the early mornings were shadowed but by 10:30 AM the top private patio had glorious sun and the evening sunsets were unparalleled. The newly added dipping pool area w outdoor shower really was an amazing addition. You literally feel like you're on top of the world. We only saw a random hiker and a few sheep so this place is perfect for those who want a peaceful, private, naturalistic getaway. Charming villages close by if you fancy a lunch out too. Palma was only about 40 mins away. Awesome scenic drive. Host was VERY responsive and accommodating. I would totally recommend. THANK YOU!
