Summary: I have found VRBO reviews/ratings to be useful yet skewed for good or for bad depending upon widely-varying expectations and "wants" of the reviewers. We only stay in rentals that allow a dog. But we also highly value cleanliness, and we have not always found rentals that "check both of those boxes for us." This rental DID. The location of this rental has a very high value for us as well, but the location might not appeal to others. We value decent WiFi and a nice smart TV. This rental has both. Overall, we found it to be a nice little cottage, and because it provided all of the things that are most important to us, we give it 5 stars. For a complete review, I must say the rental does have some weaknesses that are not a big deal for us but may be for others. My wife and I and our two youngest adult kids stayed in the rental. It was big enough for us and we could work around having only one bathroom. I don't feel that the living room is big enough for more than 4 or 5 adults to comfortably spend very much time and could use better lighting. The dining room table also only seats 4. You could manage with more people, but I wouldn't want to do it. The cottage is pretty basic in many ways (fit, finish, quality, etc.) which doesn't bother folks like us. We cook most or all of our meals when we stay at a place like this, and the kitchen was suitable, but some of the cookware could use upgrading. Again, this cottage checked the most important boxes for us, and we would like to return

Summary: Greatly enjoyed the proximity to the River and the availability of using the garage for our bike storage. The enclosed porch was a blessing also. The landscaping was well kept and we enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a rental near Ohiopyle. The GAP trail was in very close proximity too.

Summary: Location of property was perfect for our short trip to bike some of the GAP. We could bike right to the trailhead that was closest to the property. Awesome that we could use the garage to store our bikes. The house was very clean and easy to feel at home there. My only wish was that the front porch had more screens so that we could have enjoyed sitting out there more in the evening- too many bugs there to keep windows open w/o screens. We loved the river just a few steps from the house! We even saw two river otters one morning!! The bird songs there are plentiful and I found that to be very relaxing in the morning with my coffee :) Thank you Wendy for a wonderful property to get some real R&R!!!

Summary: Great cottage! Pictures are accurate and everything works. Amazingly clean. The house has an inviting, peaceful vibe. Loved the enclosed porch, it was a quiet, separate space for reading and computer work. Location can't be beat - convenient access to the GAP and Ohiopyle and just across the street, we watched the Mergansers float by. Wish we had a longer vacation there!

Summary: House was just as described and had everything we needed. Owner was very quick to respond to the few questions we had. We loved the close proximity to the GAP and biked it every day. Hope to return.

Summary: This is our second year in a row. It's very private and clean. Easy access to the river (pretty much the front yard) for fishing and play. Our family (and dog!) loves it here. It's a short ride to the GAP, and we went at least 3 times for a great ride, both directions. We ran out of propane for the grill and owner had a new tank to us within the hour. Last minute, we decided to stay another day because we couldn't fathom leaving and owner went out of her way to make that happen. I almost don't want to share a good rating because I want to keep it our secret, but highly highly recommend. :-). We will be back again! Sooner rather than later.

Summary: Very relaxing, quiet and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay and enjoyed the are and country side - nice to get away not too far from home . Food was great everwhere we went - people were very friendly- we luv visiting Pennsylvania- thanx for sharing your house with us

Summary: Sweet little get-away. Very, very clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. I especially liked the enclosed porch. Comfortable king size bed. Little sweet surprises, left by host, made this place even more welcoming. Host was quick to respond to our email.

Summary: This house was exactly as pictured. Newly decorated and very cute. It passed the cleanliness test with flying colors. The first and only house I've stayed in where I didn't wash the dishes before using them. Even the baseboards were clean! The property was lovely and well cared for and the view of the river peaceful and beautiful. The best VRBO so far!
