Summary: Beautiful property 10 min drive from Pisa, but in a calm Italian country-side. Charming and nicely decorated house with all the necessary appliances, towels provided. Beautiful garden, ideal for children. Pharmacy, bakery walking distance away. Unfortunately, a lot of mosquitoes in summer but the house owner provides you with all the sprays and repellants. The house is relatively small (living+1 bedroom) and is ideal for a family with 1 child, but might be a little too small for 2 children. Our favorite sandy beach south of Viarregio in the natural reserve was just 35 min by car.

Summary: We rented Casa Mary for a week in September 2015. The house is next door to the house the owner lives in, which he uses for B&B. There is also a third house which is either rented or used for B&B. They all share a common drive in a gated garden. There is plenty of space. The house is well equipped and had what we needed. It is very nicely converted from something like an old barn. It is located just outside Pisa in a rural location and you need a car. The bus service to Pisa is limited. There is a train station in the next small town, Navacchio, which we used to travel to Florence, which worked well. The owner provided a lot of information to help us on parking in Pisa, Lucca etc. and options for getting to other towns. He also has some maps and supermarket, restaurant information.

Summary: Our four-night stay at this picturesque apartment was one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany. The apartment is spacious, with a large, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a comfortable living area with TV and other entertainment facilities (which we did not have time to use), a large table which I co-opted for my computer but could serve as a dining table for six comfortably, and a mezzanine and very large bedroom upstairs. Decorated with a strong Tuscan flavor, the apartment is just as pretty as the VRBO photos suggest. The property is located on the fringe of the town of Cascina, which itself is on the edge of Pisa. It backs onto large open farm fields; be prepared to wake up to the insistent calls of roosters - a nice change from an alarm clock. Iacopo was our principal contact and was anxious to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. His English is adequate, and he is careful to make sure he comprehends any conversation. His mother and father are equally engaging people. We prepared most of our breakfasts, but, after reading the reviews of his mother 's formidable breakfasts, we arranged to have her prepare breakfast for us on our final morning. We enjoyed a full continental breakfast, replete with fresh local products, including local pastries and some home-made specialties; we didn't eat again until dinner. Before we left, we took a number of photos of the apartment, the home and the garden, to make sure we always have something to remind us of our visit to this beautiful place.

Summary: Our stay in Casa Formica was amazing! We had a really warm welcome, there was no problem with comunication with owners before or during our stay. They are a friendly and kind family! The apartment was just like on photos- beautiful and comfortable. We can also eat our meals and spend relaxing evenings in the great garden. The house is located in a peaceful area, but it's not far from Pisa or other amazing places, for example Lucca. I really recommend this place!
