Positive: Even though the street is meh, location ended up being really good. We rode bikes all the way to La Jolla and around the bay. There is good food within walking distance. The cottage is cute and clean and has all you need.

Negative: The owner went out of her way to accommodate our late arrival, but made it clear that is was a huge imposition. We really appreciated her staying up late to let us in. Not sure why it was necessary, could have just left them in the lock box Insisted on meeting us in person to give keys and took a picture of my passport (that felt really weird).

Positive: Loved it! So cute and cozy and perfect for me and my best friend. She literally had everything you needed from towels to sunscreen and even shavers! The place was put together so nicely! Very organized and was just in love with it. She had bikes that you could ride to the beach and the location was just perfect. Would absolutely book again!

Positive: Location is great and the street parking was plentiful.

Negative: Getting the keys for the apartment was overcomplicated. They gave me a code for the lockbox, but then said they would meet in person. They didn't show and the code that they gave me didn't work. I had to call customer service and almost got moved to a different hotel. The bikes were rusted, so we were not able to use them. There was one that was not rusted, but we were not given the code for the lock. I texted them, but they took a long time to respond. This was a major annoyance for me because the bikes were a big reason I booked this place. Finally, the wifi password didn't work and we had to manually reset the TV, because it wasn't working either. Overall, location and property is nice, but the communication and logistics need to be improved.

Summary: There were a lot of inconveniences, which was annoying for such a short stay.

Positive: Comfy bed. Equipped kitchen. Beautiful patio. Clean. Easy street parking right outside.

Negative: Strong musty or mildew smell especially in the living room. Had to open windows to air out. Located on busy street with traffic noise, so hard to relax with windows open. Wouldn’t stay again because of this.
