Summary: This was exactly what we were looking for: private, clean, relaxing, and close enough to explore the Madison area. There are lofts in two of the bedrooms. Sleeping in the lofts was a trip highlight for my kids! I recommend air mattresses if you want to use the lofts for sleeping. We had everything we needed for cooking dinner and breakfasts, and plenty of towels and bedding for six people. Highly recommended!

Summary: This is a beautiful and relaxing place to spend some time away. The house is very nice inside with great views of the sunrise and we loved the kitchen. The greenhouse outside was a great place to hang out in the cold weather, and the patio halfway down the hill to the river was an amazing spot to relax in the trees and listen to the birds. The host was very helpful and responsive, our whole experience was great.

Summary: The house is adorable and I already want to book another stay at this perfectly wonderful house! Pictures are accurate of the rooms and space, and if anything, they don’t fully convey how delightful the space and the way the space flows so nicely all together-it really is a lovely space, in every room there are details and comfort considered. Cozy blankets, tissues available, binoculars for bird watching, etc. The rooms are tidy and yet cozy, warm decor, with multiple group seating areas. Easy to get on wifi. Easy to communicate with the owner on quick questions. The kitchen has the basics covered. The beds were super comfy. I wish there was either one more stool or more kitchen table chairs to make sharing a meal easier. The house is positioned in proximity to two other houses, and it’s quiet and still in the area-no noise from the road at all. Peaceful and lovely to sit on the porch or in the greenhouse, with loads of trees, birds, and the river below.

Summary: We stayed at the cozy cottage for the Wisconsin vs Alabama game. It was a great location. Very cute and clean. Loved the water.

Summary: This was a great little gem. It sits within the trees and a lake. We had access to the water via the wooden stairs at the back of the house. We got ourselves a mini workout going down and back up the stairs. The enclosed back porch was nice to sit in, early morning. We were able to BBQ on the outdoor grill and enjoy our meal on the outdoor table under the trees. There was a fire pit available as well, but we didn’t get a chance to use it. We had little visitors around the property. We saw some possums, chipmunks, deer, wild turkeys and a gopher. That last critter was a surprise. We had plenty of room in the kitchen to prep and store food. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The set up in the living room was cozy. As for the driveway, we were grateful for our small car. It is a steep driveway, but worth it, once you pull up to the house. If we make a trip back, we will definitely try to reserve this house, again. While you’re here, make a trip to “The House on the Rock”. It will knock your socks off. Also take a trip to the “Milton House” museum. We took the tour. So much history in that building. If you need a little break from all the noise, this house has your name written all over it.

Summary: We arrived later in the night, and everything was lit up enough on the outside to find it easily. Waking up to the view of the river was great, and the property over all was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed our short stay here, and would definitely stay again given the chance!
