2 Bedroom House in Edgerton

This roomy house is located right on the shore of Lake Koshkonong. It has a wonderful pier (new pier for summer of 2025) to hang out on or tie boats to (available during the summer months only), kayaks, a paddle boat, a large row boat, and floating toys are all available for your use. It's a sandy walk into the lake and it has views that will take your breath away.
There are 2 bedrooms; it has a nice sized master bedroom with a window seat overlooking the lake, and the second bedroom is the entire upper level with 4 beds and still plenty of room. There are two large full bathrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked and with this very open floor plan, you can have a great view of the lake while in the kitchen. The view from the dining room table is the same great view that the kitchen has. There is an inviting living room with a fireplace and also a family room, so that your family and friends can spread out. Both are located at the back of the house for the most spectacular view of the lake.
We continue to invest in our property to give our guests the very best. Some of the updates last year include a new very large refrigerator, a new gas grill, a new king bed in the master bedroom, replacing the full size bed upstairs with a second queen bed, room darkening blinds & drapes in both bedrooms, adding a reverse osmosis drinking water system in our kitchen, replacing the deck, and replacing the deck furniture, as well as adding a shed.
You can use the grill on the large deck to get your party started, or grab the paddle boat and a tasty beverage and enjoy the smooth quiet enjoyment of the lake.
If you want to take some time for indoor fun, we have a book exchange, some board games, and a TV with internet.
We do have RING door cameras on the exterior front and back to ensure your security, and the security of the property. There are NO cameras in the house!
Lake Koshkonong is not only perfect for summer fun, but it offers ice fishing and snowmobiling for winter time entertainment, which makes this the perfect year round get-away.
If you don't want to cook, the towns of Edgerton, Fort Atkinson and Janesville are all nearby as well, and Madison is only 30 minutes. It's a quick 2 hour drive to the Chicago area.
This is a residential neighborhood, so we ask that you respect the neighbors that may have to get up for work the next morning, and keep your noise level to a minimum.
If you want to bring your dog with you, that is past potty training and chewing stages, you must pick up after your dog, keep the dog in our yard, and pay the $40 pet fee.
No smoking allowed inside the house, and if you choose to smoke outside, please do so away from the entrances and windows, and pick up any butts and wrappers.
Fireworks are not allowed. There is only parking for 4 vehicles (a boat counts as a vehicle). Please plan accordingly.
The Town of Albion Ordinance No. 2018-02 for Residential Short-term Rentals requires that I have a photo id with the full legal name of guest that books and their address. I'm sorry, but I will need to have this information sent to me prior to your stay.

Summary: There were not enough cleaning product to leave it like she wanted. No dish soap, no scubbing material to get dishes clean. Property was good.

Summary: Communication with Tammy was great from before we booked the lake house until we checked out - very timely, friendly and professional. The house was clean, plenty of room, included everything we needed and had beautiful view. Best of all, we were able to bring our pets! We would love to come back in the summer and take advantage of warmer weather and all the goodies she has for the lake. Thanks for helping us find a great place to stay!

Summary: Enjoyed a like front property and taking walks in the neighborhood. Kids were excited to see all the wonders of nature - birds, ducks, geese, deer, baby bunny, and frogs. Enjoyed our stay. Owners were very responsive to all of our questions.

Summary: Our children planned for weeks to get up early to catch the biggest fish while sitting on the dock pictured all over VRBO but there was NO DOCK! The host apologized and told us she already put a request for a dock back in March and “they” did not do it yet. She further explained that the post clearly stated “available in the summer” like it was our fault. It was Memorial Day weekend! I asked if in this situation we could use her neighbor's dock and we were informed that “definitely NOT” and if we would trespass neighbor’s property they would call the police. Since the only thing we planned for this trip was fishing we rented a pontoon boat in town but we ended up paying almost $900 as all the cheaper options were already rented out. The bedding in our room was clean but the kids complained that the upstairs room was dark and hot and there were a lot of spiders. The house did not have deep cleaning for a while. The carpet on stairs had a lot of stains. The kitchen cabinets shelves were sticky and they were filled with old, dirty, mismatched junk. The baking sheets were rusty and the Teflon pans were scratched so cooking was not enjoyable either. Ceiling fan had grease and dust visibly stocked to it. The deck and deck furniture was nice but there is no gazebo or any roof over it so we could not use it as it was raining the next day. We ended up leaving 1 day early as nobody wanted to stay there. Thanks for ruining our vacation.

Summary: This is a great house in a quiet neighborhood. The views of the lake were amazing! The pictures don't do it justice. We were very pleasantly surprised by how spacious the great room was and how much seating was available. Likewise the deck was a pleasant surprise with both comfy cushioned furniture as well as firmer chairs. Something for everyone and just a great place to hang out with lovely breezes from the lake. I contacted the host once for something I could not find and she responded immediately with the location as well as an offer to send a replacement if she was wrong! Turned out to be a user error on my part (oops) but I sure appreciated the fast response and offer. We'll stay here again for sure!

Summary: I know every host is looking for 5 stars but sometimes there are things that need to be addressed to receive 5 stars. We stay at a fair amount of short term rentals and this was actually the third one of this trip. Some feedback to get to 5 stars: * Most 5 star short term rentals have no maintenance issues. This rental had gaps in the flooring that causes it to shift underfoot. I almost dropped my infant when this happened. The front door shock mechanism was loose/broken and feel apart at the time of initial entry. There were shelves in the kitchen that needed repair. Shower curtain in master bath did not fit shower space. ** 5 star rentals have coffee and other essentials at least for a day. I don't need to have coffee supplied for my entire trip but have some to get us started on morning one. This includes dish soap, and basic shower bodywash & shampoo. *** If a renter tells you something is missing or there is an issue you should believe them and not question it. Trust me, no renter wants to reach out to the host with issues. We just want to enjoy our stay. ****You should consider putting that identification verification is required in the posting. Doing it right before check in seems like racial profiling or discrimination. *****Having 20 pages of unorganized rules and information is not desirable. We have stayed at $1000/night rentals with 1 page of rules. ****** 5 star rentals have white sheets, white towels with quality pillows. Thank you for our stay.
