This little shanty was built in the 1930s when Mt. Pleasant was out in the country...before Mt. Pleasant was Mt. Pleasant. Everything else may have grown up around town, but this place has stood the test of time. Rooms are well appointed, all with their own private full bathroom!
The evenings are the best. After a day at the Isle of Palms or Sullivan's Island beach, you'll come home, shower up and enjoy a beautiful fire in the backyard with your favorite tunes and some fresh shrimp on the grill from Shem Creek.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the shanty. It was very clean and a great location that is convenient to everything!! A short drive to Isle of Palms, SS YORKTOWN, and historic downtown Charleston made our stay so easy. Host was easy to contact and accommodating! We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to folks!!
