This beautiful and immaculately renovated ground floor studio on Shem Creek, in the heart of Mt Pleasant, SC is the perfect place to experience the charm of the Lowcountry. A large and private lot with separate pathways throughout have all added to the privacy of this studio. The studio is centrally located between Downtown Historic Charleston, the beaches of Sullivans Island, and Isle of Palms. This picturesque property provides views of a five-acre fresh water lake, marshland and gorgeous sunsets. Two kayaks, two bikes and two paddle boards are provided free-of-charge so that you can paddle down the creek to dinner or bike to the many restaurants and shops on Coleman Blvd. Guests are welcome to bring and dock their own boat for an extra charge (we are only 1.5 miles from the Charleston Harbor by water). This bird lovers paradise showcases marsh and fresh water birds throughout almost 2 acres of land (Bald eagles, ospreys and otters have been spotted on the lake). Enjoy the shade of the property's southern live oak trees or soak up the sun as you fish or crab off the deep water dock.

Summary: Beautiful little spot on Shem Creek. Perfect location to do all we love to do in Charleston. This sweet little studio was private, clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. It was extremely affordable and the hosts were very kind. We had a wonderful time. highly recommend this place if you want a nice little getaway.

Summary: You cannot beat the location of this house. Close to Charleston, close to the beach, close to all the shopping and history and browsing and dining you could want. The property is amazing, offering views of mature trees, lovely landscaping, inviting lawns, and animal-watching galore. Staying at this home was as much a highlight for us as touring the area. Jackie and Chris have created a true oasis at the Studio at Shem Creek. Many extras are included inside the apartment as well. They are wonderful hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: This is a gem that is a separate open floor plan apartment (ground floor separate entrance from larger house) on Shems Creek just over the big bridge from Charleston. Shopping and dining are walkable but- at the same time- bald eagles and large egrets were 30 yards away from our front door. Kayaking and fishing 50 yards away! Jackie is a superb host who is on-site but maintains a complete professional distance. We originally came for the women's tennis tournament- now we come just to hang out and work from home!

Summary: This VRBO has everything to offer. The inside and outside are meticulous. Peacefulness is the key word. If you like, the restaurants on Shem Creek are out of this world. We enjoyed fishing and watching the Eagle’s nest. The host, Nicole couldn’t be friendlier. We really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Enjoyed our 5 day stay with Jackie and Chris. Excellent hosts gave us a lot of information on what to visit and restaurant recommendations. The studio was lovely everything was perfect. Would recommend to anyone wanting to spend several days in the Charleston area. Lots of birds visiting the lake rgularly especially the Eagles.
