Get comfortable in your own authentic Adirondack log cabin, enjoy a cozy evening campfire or relax on the spacious deck overlooking the lake. Enjoy the magnificent natural stone fireplace indoors, or family bonding around the outdoor campfire. Get cozy with a movie or board game in the loft or a game of ping pong, air hockey, or darts in the basement. Stay in and get cozy or check out all there is to do in the Adirondacks. Make long-lasting memories in a small Adirondack town!
Enjoy all this small Adirondack town has to offer! The Cabin is just a 5-minute drive to town, where you can enjoy local shops, restaurants, public park and beach. In the surrounding areas you can explore Gore Mountain, Natural Stone Bridge and Caves, North Creek Railbiking, Adirondack Buffalo Company, Paradox Brewery Tour, Fort Ticonderoga, Lake George, Seagle Festival Theater, and so much more!
SUMMER - Rent a boat at the local marina to enjoy during your stay or relax at the public beach just 3 miles from the Cabin. Paddleboard, swim, fish, or kayak along this pristine nine-mile-long lake. Enjoy a round of golf at the local Schroon Lake Golf Course or hike the many trails offered throughout the Adirondacks.
FALL/SPRING – Enjoy the remarkable, vibrant foliage in the Fall or the lush greenery during the Spring while relaxing on the deck. Love to hike? Schroon Lake offers a wonderland of hiking trails. Easy: Hike around the wooded 10 acres of the Cabin property. Moderate: Severance Mountain - 1.5 miles to a panoramic view at the top. Difficult: Pharaoh Mountain - 2.5 miles to a fire tower at the top. More Difficult: Mount Marcy and other Adirondack High Peaks in the surrounding area.
WINTER - Ski at nearby Gore or famous Whiteface Mountain near Lake Placid. A beginner? Try FREE skiing with rope tow at the local Schroon Lake Golf Course. Not a skier? The Cabin sits on 10 acres of wooded property to explore. Enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or snowmobiling right from the Cabin. Toboggan at the Golf Course, ice skate in town at the FREE rink, or ice fish on nine-mile-long Schroon Lake. Skiing is great in the Eastern Adirondacks and the Schroon Lake Log Cabin is right between two of the best ski centers in the east: Gore Mountain (30min) and Whiteface Mountain (1hr 15min). Enjoy skiing during the day and warming up around the cozy fireplace at night. We will keep plenty of firewood on hand to keep your fire crackling.
Important Notes:
1. Linens (sheets, pillowcases, towels) will not be provided Memorial Day through Labor Day. If you don't plan on bringing them, they are available for purchase locally.
2. Even though the Cabin has a private and remote feel, there is both excellent wifi and cell service throughout the property.
3. Please plan to arrive no earlier than 4:00pm and plan to leave by 11:00am on the day of departure.
4. The driveway is gravel and has a steep hill in the beginning. Sometimes front wheel drive cars when fully loaded and driving slowly can spin tires. The best solution under these conditions is to maintain a brisk speed to the top. We highly recommend 4-wheel drive.
5. There is a security camera at the back of the house pointed solely at the driveway. We understand that privacy is important, so please rest assured that this camera is not actively monitored and only covers the driveway area to enhance property security.
6. If bringing your own boat, please leave it at the bottom of the driveway near the barn.

Summary: My Husband, my brother, two nephews and I stayed here for four nights in May. The cabin had everything we needed, including silence, a great view at every angle, things to do on rainy days, and ambience all day long. We took day trips to Lake Placid, Ticonderoga, the natural Bridge and Caves, and several small towns in the area. Perfect for unplugging and just getting away from the every day. We definitely want to go back.

Summary: My family of 5 and our pug had a wonderful stay. This log cabin is absolutely fantastic! The minute you walk through the door it felt welcoming. The cabin is very clean and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Kristin is an amazing host and very responsive. The cabin is a 5-minute drive into town, where you will find a few restaurants, a great coffee shop and a grocery store. You definitely need 4-wheel drive to get up the driveway--it is very steep. Our family will definitely request to stay at this cabin again the next time we visit Gore Mountain. Thank you!

Summary: This was our second Thanksgiving we have spent in this cabin. We absolutely love it! The layout is perfect for our family and the amenities are next level. The house is fully equipped to cook a Thanksgiving dinner. My kids love the game room and all the little extras the owners have. The house is spotless. We will be back for sure!

Summary: We booked a last minute trip and was not disappointed. The views of the lake are awesome and calls of Loons. Lots of hiking along with night sky views and close to other locations for a variety of things to do. Krystin was wonderful in communication. A great place!

Summary: We took advantage of the outdoor spaces - deck, fire pit, and lean-to (not pictured but a highlight) - and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The cabin has everything you need, beds are comfortable, and each room had a fan. The main living space was smaller than expected, but the deck made up for this. We’d return based on our experience.

Summary: We enjoyed the beautiful view from the deck sipping our morning coffee. The AWD SUV we rented handled the steep driveway without any issues. Kristyn was responsive to our questions. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary items needed to prepare some of my favorite dishes. This house is well located for a night at the opera at the Seagle Festival in Schroon Lake, a day trip to the Shelburne Museum in VT, or a trip to Saratoga Springs for shopping and the race track. Highly recommend this quiet haven for a vacation.
