Summary: From the time we got to Lewis and Spoma’s cabin, in Fancy Gap VA, until the day we checked out, our mountain retreat was absolutely perfect! The cabin was stocked with an abundance of kitchen supplies and lovely stainless steel appliances. All we had to do was bring the food for cooking and grilling and enjoy! The cabin was incredibly clean and had the warmth of a home away from home. The cabin is pet friendly so brought our dog and he had the time of his life!! We’re so glad we decided to bring him along. The view from the porch was lovely with a great pond view and walking trails which we enjoyed immensely. We visited in the summer so the trees were full. We didn’t have an entire Mountain View due to the trees, but we could see the tip of the mountain, which worked out fine. If you’re planning a trip to this area, make sure you come prepared to cook your own meals! There aren’t any great restaurants nearby. We’ll definitely recommend cabin to our friends and family.

Summary: The cabin was cozy and inviting. Easily accommodated 4 adults (+ one dog), had everything that we needed for a full week's stay. Beautiful setting, brilliant sunrises, very comfortable.

Summary: We had a great time at this cabin using it for a long weekend mountain retreat. The pictures accurately describe the house and it was well equipped. The neighborhood was really neat and had 2 ponds that kids would enjoy fishing in, 2 areas where streams were cascading down rock features, a community overlook and great views while driving around. The Chateau Morrisette Winery is well worth a visit. Here are a few items to note for consideration, NOT negative remarks: -the 3rd bedroom upstairs did have not air conditioning so that may be tough to us in the middle of the summer. -Not much in the area for food or entertainment so make sure to be self efficient. -Sound does travel through the walls so if someone is sleeping and your being social inside that may be tough, porch would be fine.

Summary: We loved the antiques and pottery, the wood pieces and all the cozy touches. Everything is provided with this cabin - all the linens, towels, toiletries, kitchen wares you might want. We especially appreciated that there is a compost bin - we felt like we were home. The internet and TV is typical for the mountains - slow. Not a problem if you aren't in a hurry. Lewis and Spoma were great. During our stay, they sent a text reminding us to contact them with any questions or problems. When there was a circuit breaker tripped during a storm, they called us right away and we were able to fix the problem. They also provided wonderful tips for things to do in the area. We highly recommend this cabin. Wonderful scenery, cabin and owners. We also highly recommend working with Evolve. Best vacation rental we've ever experienced.

Summary: the area was great, the view was wonderful, the hills were great to walk on great exercise, fishing was wonderful, even though we had to throw the fish back, i love the cabin, the beds were a bit uncomfortable, the mattresses were hard, but everything else was great

Summary: From the drive up the mountain to sitting on the front porch, I was amazed at the beauty of the surrounding area and home. The owners kept in contact, left a handwritten note as well as a homemade candle to cherish our weekend. The house has amazing views, was clean, and semi-stocked with just what we needed.

Summary: We loved the house and the view. Everything was clean and there were helpful items available for our use if we forgot to pack something. The view from the deck/porch is worth the stay alone. Our only complaint (if we had to have one) was the floor was creaky so it's hard to sneak around if anyone's a light sleeper, but this is expected in cabins. The water pressure was great in the shower and plenty of towels, etc.
