Pilot’s Perch utilizes three exterior surveillance cameras for surveillance reasons. They are unable to capture any interior images or any images on either deck. One is located on the front porch by the front door for the surveillance of entrances and exits of the cabin through the front door, possible wild life on the front porch and weather observations. The second is to the right of the exterior garage door on the lower driveway. The third is located near the road between the two driveways. They are for the surveillance of entrances and exits of the cabin through the front door, garage door, possible wild life, bypassing traffic and weather observations.

Summary: This was our second trip to this amazing mountain cabin, and it was just as unforgettable as the first! The views continue to blow us away—there’s truly nothing like it. When the fog rolled in, it felt like we were floating in the clouds, and on clear days, the panoramic views seemed to stretch forever.We spent so many relaxing hours in the hot tub, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and loved winding down by the fire on the deck in the evenings. It’s such a tranquil and private spot—perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.We were even treated to a visit from two deer on the property, adding an extra touch of magic to our stay. Summary: You will not find a better view! We enjoyed everything about this home and would go back again and again. It was clean, there was nothing we needed and oh my goodness the view was amazing. I took my wife here for her 50th birthday because she loves sunrises and sunsets; when we arrived there were a few balloons there left by the host (she loved that). Thanks again Taanya and Blake!

Summary: I was expecting a lot based on the description of the property. Pilot’s Perch did not disappoint it was all it said it was and more. The views are really incredible and the house was very inviting and warm. We usually don’t go back to the same place because there is so much to see and do in this country however, this place. Would be the exception already trying to figure out a time to go back to Pilot’s Perch!

Summary: Hubby and I needed a quick weekend away, so we booked 3 night. The cabin was perfectly appointed, clean, comfortable, etc. but those VIEWS are amazing. Totally private decks with a hot tub. The neighborhood roads, ponds, and covered bridge were an adventure of their own. You will find everything you need in Fancy Gap, but Mt Airy or Mabry Mill is a quick drive away.
