Built in 1856 the cottage is situated up the hill on Bagot Street, behind the old Criterion Hotel.
The quaint settlers cottage has been beautifully restored and extended and is now a fabulous holiday rental accommodation.
Located in exceptional proximity to Robe's town beach, specialty shops, art galleries, restaurants, hotels and only a short stroll the golf course.
'Criterion Cottage' provides a marvellous atmosphere with the integration of the old and the new. The comfortable living room is full of character opening up onto a paved courtyard, with BBQ.
Other features include 2 bedrooms with 1 queen upstairs and 2 single beds downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom on the ground floor and glimpses of Guichen Bay. Ideal accommodation for couples or small family.
It is the dog owners responsibility to ensure their dog is suitably restrained within the enclosed yard premises, Robe Holiday Rentals cannot guarantee fencing will be suitable match for your pet.

Bathroom and bedroom linen is supplied in all our properties for your stay, however we only supply what is required. We could swim, wander down the street and see all that Robe has to offer. Our dog also had access to the courtyard. The sparkling weather was beautiful. Already trying to rebook!

Summary: Great location. Close to Main Street walk to everything close at hand. House is very hot could do with a couple of shade sails in little court yard which we used , or a split system. A well equipped kitchen , overall a pleasant place to stay.

House was well equipped but could have been a little cleaner in some areas. Small courtyard needs attention. Was annoyed to pay a cleaning fee of $160 but had to make our own beds and found the house was not as clean as I thought it should be.

We had everything we needed and we were able to bring our little dog .We loved the character and decor of the cottage and had stayed there last year.We had our honeymoon in Robe so it was lovely to celebrate again in Robe.

Sofas and beds are comfortable and it was such a relief to know we had electric blankets should we need them. The Mediterranean-style living area is light-filled and adorned with tasteful original artworks (a real bonus!). Together they set the scene for a real holiday. Location is brilliant with shops, beachfront and cafés an easy walk away. Love it!

Reviewer Comments: A quaint little cottage close ta all amenities and a stroll away from the beach and other sites.Adequate space for our needs and great to have our 2 dogs stay with us inside.Patio could have been maintained and bbq unusable.Cleaners need to check all cupboards as there was mouldy food left in one.Main bedroom mattress /bed needs replacing.Overall an enjoyable stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Charming cottage in the best location in Robe. We have been visiting this cottage since the 1980’s and love it here. The changes we noticed this year.. the beds are no longer made on arrival and only the exact number of sheets of sheets are left out. I would prefer that the beds were made up. Also, we were only left one roll of toilet paper and no rubbish bags for the bins. The last time I stayed here the owner was self managing and we always felt like we were staying in a home away from home, so I wonder if these changes are by the real estate agent. The guest book has been removed and the folder with the history of the property is gone. In the downstairs bedroom we found lolly wrappers and dust. Think they need to upgrade the cleaner. Gas bbq bottle was not full so we chose not to replace it at our own expense and did not want to carry such a huge bottle.This is a boutique property and it would be good if these little touches were fixed. So many instructions on the fridge, but no mention of the water bottle in the kitchen, which can be refilled from the rainwater tank in Cornerstone Cottage (same owners).Delightful cottage but not reaching its full potential in my opinion.
