Positive: The breakfast was excellent for both of us - fresh food beautifully cooked and presented. She used locally sourced food as much as possible, and we loved the raw honey from the local beekeeper on the island. Our hostess was exceptionally helpful and thoughtful. She answered all our questions and made very good suggestions as to where to visit and the best places to eat. She could not have been more helpful. Loved the location - very quiet with superb views of Bray Head and the surrounding islands off the coast. surrounding the whole house.
Negative: There was nothing we did not like. We will return again to this beautiful house, and highly recommend it to others visiting the island. Our hostess made all the difference - kind, thoughtful, helpful, inspiring and simply the ideal hostess. You could not wish for more.
Summary: Just loved the genuine hospitality that was given to us. We were so well looked after.

Positive: The locatin was a 5 minute drive to Portmagee, about 10 minute drive to the Kerry Cliffs.
Negative: We had car troubles when we arrived, and the owner was kind enough to drive us in to Portmagee to get something to eat, she also picked us up and brought us back to the B&B when we were finished. She would not accept money for doing this kindness. We cannot thank her enough for the generosity. The place was very clean, so the comfort level was good. Beds were comfortable. One thing I feel I must mention, is that we were left feeling very unwelcome due to having a 14 month old infant. Our son was over tired after a long day of driving and exploring, and he was sleeping in a strange place. He just wanted to run around the room and play with his toys after a busy day. He was not crying or screaming. We didnt see an issue with this until we recieved a knock at the door. We were asked not so nicely to keep him quiet, because we were disturbing other guests. It was very upsetting because, even though it was late at night he wasnt even crying, just playing with his toys. We did not want to hold him or force him to stay in the bed, as this would cause upset and make him cry. So we became very stressed not knowing what to do after our conversation with the owner. We felt that a place that welcomes families and children of all ages should have been a lot more understanding. We could have been given a room on the ground floor and this would not have been an issue. Instead we were put on the top floor which had wooden floors with no carpet. So no sound proofing. The advertisement says children are welcome. It even asks the age of the child upon booking. If you are a parent, you understand that sometimes children become unsettled, and you just do your best to comfort them. The other guests also would have seen when they booked, that they were booking at a place that accepts children, and they can expect to deal with such an environment. I would not recommend this place for people with small children, as it seems to have a lack of understanding in this department.
