What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

May 5, 2017 04:48:56 AM
Summary: Very charming, clean, wonderfully restored. It was in a great location as well. It was well appointed with washer, dryer, iron, and most kitchen electronics, small appliances and coffee. What we did miss was local literature, places to see, etc. We have a VRBO and guests appreciate that and since we are of an older generation and don't communicate so well with i-phones, locating the house was a challenge as was finding WiFi codes so we would suggest getting directions, passwords, etc. before you try and find it. But we would stay again if in the area. Thank you, Lori.

Summary: We stayed at this property from May 17-20th and just loved it. This house has so many beautiful details everywhere you look, but we especially enjoyed the kitchen which is better equipped than my own. The bed on the first floor was super comfortable as were the sheets ( I am a sheet snob and these were great!) and the water pressure in the shower was amazing! We were unable to actually meet with the owner because of both of our crazy busy schedules, but she was so prompt in responding to our emails etc. We were visiting with our daughter who is a doctoral student at University of Iowa, but lives in Cedar Rapids, so we all enjoyed the family feel of that wonderful kitchen nook with that spectacular table and benches. Would stay here again in a heartbeat & hope to on our next visit!

Summary: We were in the Cedar Rapids for a robotics competition. As a family of 5, staying here was so much nicer and roomier than 2 rooms in a hotel. We had plenty of space to relax and be comfortable. Literally minutes from the convention center downtown! Grocery store 3-4 blocks away, restaurants and the charming Czech village just down the road. It really was a prime location! Inside the home is so inviting and cozy. Everything you should need is already there, including linens and towels. We were so pleased with choosing to stay here. The owners are on top of things and respond quickly to any questions/concerns you may have. We will definitely stay here again if our team is back in the regional tournament!

Summary: We gathered in Cedar Rapids for our father's funeral. We all were originally from the area and wanted to stay in a place that felt like home. This place felt like home. The place was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was a block from Czech Village. It has a big front room where we would gather and tell stories about old times. This is a lot better of a place to stay than a hotel. A very charming place. Thank you!

Summary: We had a family get-together in Coralville, Ia on Saturday, January 7. Since we would be traveling with a 10 month old, it worked well to stay at this home for 2 nights. The bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms were adequate for 2 couples and 2 single college daughters. Also, various food allergies require us to cook all our meals, and Hy-Vee was just minutes away. This allowed us to plan, shop, cook, and eat in a timely manner. Staying in motel rooms would have been difficult and more expensive. We enjoyed our stay on D Street very much!

Summary: Had a great three night stay over the new year with my wife and two little kids while we were in town to celebrate a belated Christmas with my extended family. Loved the proximity to New Bo, Hy-Vee (grocery store), and the highway. Beds were all comfortable, kitchen was great, and everything was "as advertised." Lori brought over some toys for the little ones and that was a real nice touch. We'll be back.

Summary: The property was clean, ultra comfortable, and in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from Czech Village. Kitchen appliances are new -- making Thanksgiving dinner preparation a breeze! The privacy fence in the backyard was perfect for our dogs. The owner was just as delightful as the home. It was obvious that they lovingly care for the home and their guests. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
