Summary: The cabin was smaller than expected and a bit crowded for the two of us and our 50 pound dog. Unless you're planning to spend a lot of time inside you should be fine. The porch was amazing - was up at 6 for coffee and a reading while listening to all the farm and wildlife.

Summary: Enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. Great views from the porch and dear came out each night. Cabin had everything you needed to cook meals and relax. It is small with limited seating but we used as a base to explore and for the two of us it was fine. Great interaction with host making sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend. As a side note the drive in on Highway 78 from Red Lodge is just a great stretch of road and quite beautiful.

Summary: Cabin was as described. Very small but worked out just fine for my husband and me. If we weren’t out on the porch soaking in the gorgeous scenery we were out exploring. Bed was comfy and the kitchen had enough essential utensils, pans etc… to fix a meal. The gas grill was out of propane so that messed up our dinner plans one night. I’m not sure if that was an oversight or a fire precaution (if it was we didn’t see a note regarding that). That was a small issue and certainly would not stop me from recommending this place or preventing me from staying there again. Location is great. Can get to a lot of places with a short drive, . I contacted the host a few days before we were to arrive to check in to see what the process was but did not get an answer. In the next couple of days I sent a couple of more emails that never got a response either. On the check in day we went ahead and drove up there. Fortunately we did find the cabin unlocked and ready with a note supplying the key, Wi-Fi info etc….

Summary: The Deer cabin is a great place to stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The view is beautiful. We had everything we needed. We had the same experience as another recent guest with not knowing that the cabin would be open and ready. I had to call to verify. I like to know how to get in before hand especially in a remote location as I am never sure about cell service. Communication could have been better. Aside from that, the cabin is great.
