Positive: Drinks: We paid for all inclusive and the drink selection was huge! Several straight liqueurs (like vodka, two types of rum, tequila etc) you could mix with any soft drinks, about 10 cocktails to choose. Food: The buffet was incredible, the choices varied every meal but with some staples that were always there. The chef would cook in front of you - some days was burgers, some pastas, always eggs in the morning but with waffles as well! The table service was amazing, always making sure you had drinks. Dinner outside was great, with mood lighting on the tables as well. Rooms: We stayed 3 nights in a pool beach villa and it was HUGE and room service included every day. They cleaned the pool every day as well. They even set up a honeymoon decoration. The outdoor shower was brilliant! We then spent 2 nights in an over water villa and it was STUNNING! Smaller but it doesn’t matter, the views are unbelievable and there’s a reef about 100 metres up from the over water villas. We saw two black tip reef sharks which was just incredible, they didn’t bother us and was AMAZING to swim so close to them. People: The workers went above and beyond, always making sure you were comfortable and happy. They memorised our drink orders by the end of our stay. Afa handled most of our stay and moved us into a nicer room for our honeymoon - she really was amazing, thank you Afa! The workers were always doing something to make sure the island looked perfect: raking the sand footpaths, organising people’s beach chairs etc. passing anyone on the footpaths, they always said good morning or hello. Activities: I did a scuba dive and my husband snorkelled - we were the only ones on the boat, we were able to sit on the roof and look around. A pod of dolphins swam to the boat and my husband saw a sea turtle. I saw dozens of lion fish and moray eels, as well as abundant fish of all kinds. Easy dive and extremely enjoyable.

Positive: Pros: - Unreal natural landscape. Beautiful clean shallow beaches, pleasant weather, intermittent rain showers, seclusion and privacy, serene sound and feel of wind 100% of the time… it was truly an unreal experience that comes with the natural Maldives eco system. - Another eye candy was to observe lots of fishes and marine life up-close, probably due to legal ban on fishing. - They provided snacks in the breakfast prior to our departure in the last day at 5:45 AM. - Chefs were friendly and helped twice in providing out of menu items upon requests - Breakfast offerred lots of options
Negative: Cons: - Maintenance and Cleaning issues - Not a 5-star definitely - Indian chefs/cuisine was served all the time, it made up 80% of the "international" buffet items. Some advise for other travellers: - If your return flight is in early morning flight before 9am then better to check out one day earlier and get a hotel in Male for an overnight stay. Our flight departure was at 9am exactly and we arrived so late that we checked in 8:40am, we would have easily missed the flight if we were 10 more minutes late. - Ensure your family members are the same as allowed in room booking, otherwise they are charged (for stay, food, transfers, taxes, etc). No relaxation offered there. - Fishing/Dolphin trips get cancelled if sea is rough, plan ahead. - Full board was an overkill. Better to take half board. Take note of buffet timings which are quite close and stressful to be honest. Breakfast: 0730-0900, Lunch: 1230-1400, Dinner: 1900-2100. There's no other food option on the island of course.

Positive: We stayed on one of the those water villas with a sunset view. The place was amazing, relaxing, and breath taking all at the same time. There were small sharks and sting rays right in front of our accommodation. We went there mid of April which was towards the end of summer and it rained 2/8 days that we stayed but it was still hot. They had one of these floating breakfast right in front of our room with an amazing view of the Indian Ocean and it is where I did my marriage proposal. The place was clean and the staff were really helpful. Meals were buffet style, no pork or crustaceans as the Maldives is pre dominantly Muslim. At first we were just expecting to chill out and relax in this island but there were activities and excursions as well. Tip: If you are not really into alcohol, Half Board will do you fine. Tip: Make sure your flights in and out of the Maldives matches with your seaplane flight in and out of the smaller islands as seaplanes are not 24hrs. Tip: Bring your own snorkelling equipment, it will save you some money.
Negative: There was a part of the island that looks like it is still under construction/repair, we saw visible sacks of sand, I think these were in place to prevent the land from erosion. It did not bother us as it was in a hidden part of the island but just make sure your accommodation is not near this area.
