Note before the description:
Please inquire before booking. I'd like to answer all your questions before you make your decision. Many people have issues with the online booking system. I can offset most of those problems if I get to converse with you before your booking. I have now added an additional refund policy. As long as the tenants cancel promptly, I will give a full refund. The original refund policy only applies to bookings that are held for a while before canceling. When I accept your booking, I will call you immediately. I'll give you all the information you need to make an informed decision. If any of my answers constitute a dealbreaker for you, you can cancel with no consequences. As long as you cancel promptly after that conversation, you will get a full refund. You are only subject to the official cancellation policy listed on VRBO if you hold the booking for days or weeks(blocking anyone else from booking).
Also note that bookings are not finalized until payment is received.
As stated, the prevention of direct contact is causing restriction on important information. It is our policy to accept bookings even when the houses may already have bookings pending. If one of these previous bookings gets confirmed, it has greater priority. In this case, we ask that you cancel your booking from your end so that our ad does not get penalized. This method allows us to communicate with you and give you all the information including other options at other properties. It also allows you to solidify a secondary priority before anyone else becomes second in line. If you don't agree with this policy, please do not request a booking. Just do an inquiry.

Description:
Great for retreats, family reunions, weddings, weekend parties, dance parties, yoga, special events. very secluded; about a quarter-mile from the nearest house.
This spacious house is just over 2800 square feet. It boasts skylights and huge picture windows. There is a lot of parking, and outdoor entertaining area. The privacy is unsurpassed.
This house has a section which can be closed off. So, you can rent the 4 bedroom side for cheaper, or you can rent the whole house. The 2 bedroom side is not a separate unit, and cannot be rented separately. The descriptions, amenities, prices apply to the 4bed/2bath side of the house(approx. 2300sqft). The other side is 2bed/1bath(approx. 400 sqft). You can add this section for an additional $150/night(it sleeps 4-8 people).
Please note, the 4 bedroom side sleeps 32 people in beds. If you have more than that many people, we can include the extra rooms at no extra charge. However, we usually give you a better deal by reducing fees in other ways anyway. Please contact me before booking so that we can get you the best deal.

Summary: We had good experience. We stayed on one side of home that was very large and nice. The main room was gigantic and had many places to sit or lay down to sleep. The only problem was we needed more light at night in main room. There were 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on our side. The master bedroom and bath were great. There were multiple TV’s throughout house. A large TV in main room. The kitchen was large and well appointed. The other side (where we did not stay) had 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. We saw wasps in the 2 bedrooms and closed off that side of home. There was a great hot tub but we had no lighting out by hot tub at night. The water temperature was easy to heat to desired heat before going into tub, but we needed more light to go from house to tub at night. Very easy lock entrance. Owner was very gracious with our checking out time.

Summary: We chose this site for our 4 generation family reunion. VRBO web site states there is air conditioning. There was none; outside temperature was over 100. We found the house uninhabitable. We immediately called the owner who said if we followed his instructions (Use whole house fan at night and close windows daytime) the house would not be too hot. The nursery monitor registered 90 that night and flashed red for danger.* We complained again. Owner said he had a swamp cooler but if we used it too much we could run out of water. He agreed he would come at 7 p.m. to install it and 2 window air conditioners. He did not show up until 10 :45 p.m. He installed the cooler, but wanted to leave the window air conditioning units for us to install; We would not assume that responsibility. He said it would be 4 days before he could get them installed. The swamp cooler helped but was noisy and inadequate. We obtained portable air conditioners making the house livable. The house ran out of water. He advised us to divert water from another tank on the property. The water was murky and filled with sediment.* He said it was safe to drink. None of us did. Web site shows swimming pool. There is none. The pool he offers is a public pool 1.5 miles away. The internet and phone reception is unstable. He let us use his landline for outgoing calls. One of bedrooms has no windows for ventilation: only doorways to hall and bathroom. The patio is not level nor safe. There is a 1 1/8’ sudden rise.* There is also an unsafe 2” rise in a hallway*. We paid $100 for hot tub use, but water was low, cold and dirty.* We did not use it and requested a refund but none has been given. He had me pay him directly rather than to VRBO for additional people and days. (He said VRBO is paid for the booking and does not care about changes.) I paid requesting a written invoice which he never sent. VRBO responded to us when we weren't getting help from the owner. They offered to immediately put us up in a hotel and try to find another booking, but could not cover the additional 10 people for whom I paid to the owner. If you want VRBO protection, then the entire booking must be done with them. Be careful renting this place: Get everything in writing. * We have photos to verify.

Summary: I just got home and I'm already missing being up their in the mountains. The house is clean with enough beds and space for everyone in your family. The owner is super attentive and very good at answering phone calls and questions, no matter how many times you call him lol I will definitely be staying here again with my family 😊

Summary: Real easy to get a hold of Mike! Gave us all the info we needed prior to arriving. Water comes from a well, so at times water may be yellow, due to minerals, don’t be alarmed. Lots of room for kids to run around inside and out back!

Summary: Overall we were pretty happy with the property. A ton of space and bedrooms available. It was as advertised on the listing. There were a few things broken like the blown out speakers and water heating issues, but Mike was quick to try and fix those issues and work it out. Would love to book this spot again once the issues have been fixed.
