Summary: Dutch Flat Hotel is a gem. It’s run a bit more like an Air BnB than a typical hotel, but it is a sweet, interesting, beautiful place. We had a great time and are going to recommend it to our family and friends.

Summary: This Hotel was the EXACT experience we were looking for on our 15th wedding anniversary escape. Obviously the building is really old, but the owners and staff have embraced that and have harnessed the soul of the property by being true to the original spirit of the place- Things are simple and it makes sense, like how you just order and pay for food and beverage at the bar. What you really need is all there- comfort, beauty, food and wine. If you are stuck in the fast-paced pretentious world, don't come here unless you are actually going to take a deep breath and let loose because this is a place to take it easy. All of the needed updates have been made, the rooms are perfectly put together and immaculately clean. Sure there is peeling paint on the outside- reminds you to focus on the things that actually matter! We will visit again soon, that is for certain.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay here. Clean, cozy room, just what we were looking for between ski days. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed dinner right downstairs. We will definitely be back!

Summary: Great location, quiet, and roomy. Breakfast starts a bit late, if you plan on leaving in the morning like I did. And, there was not central heating, just a space heater and in wall heater. Would recommend for those who are crashing for the night and heading to Tahoe for skiing and snowboarding!

Summary: The beds were comfortable, shower was hot, food was good. But the people above us were so loud, we almost left. Vintage hotel = thin walls, ceiling etc.

Summary: There is no management on the premises, and they don't respond to text messages. One family had children running upstairs until past 1:00 AM. Our room was on the first floor, with the piano on the porch right outside our room, which meant it was very noisy when small children were playing it in the evening while we were in the room. There is NO breakfast on weekday. Just cereal and milk. The beds were not comfortable for us - very squeaky, queen was too soft, and fold-up twin, too firm.
