Sandy Cottage is an original mid 1800's semi detached Fisherman's Cottage. Refurbished to a high standard it boasts a central location in the old part of Caister village, approximately 150 metres from the quiet sandy beach and dunes (Dog friendly beach all year). Fishing is popular on the local beach, with a good selection of different species being caught all year round. Views of the Caister Life Boat Station and a partial sea view can be seen from the front bedroom window. With off street parking for 2 vehicles on a gravel driveway to the front of the cottage there is also plenty of additional parking on the road down the side of the property. The nearest pub and chip shop are situated about 150 metres away with several other pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shops within a 5-10 minute walk. The moated Caister Castle and the Beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park are just a very short drive away, giving you the opportunity to explore the Broads and maybe do some fishing aboard your very own Broads cruiser which you can hire for a day from one of the many local boatyards. The Cathedral City of Norwich is situated within a 30 minute drive. With its Castle, many Historical attractions and endless shops restaurants and entertainment, your sure to find something for everyone. The Seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is just 3 miles away with good public transport links (buses every 10 minutes). If you enjoy the flashing lights of the arcades on the seafront, enjoy a few white knuckle rides or are looking for some night-life then its well worth a visit. Summary: Fantastic place and location, very well equipped, very clean, lovely showers, comfy beds. The only negative were the stairs, not really suitable for the very elderly or disabled! Overall we had a brilliant holiday

Summary: Clean, well equipped cottage with enclosed courtyard ideal for our grandchildren and dog. Very close to sandy dog friendly beach and near the Caister life boat. Excellent cafe and shop in the visitor centre. Would certainly return again a good base for exploring the area by bus or car.

Summary: Although we managed with 5 adults 1 child and an infant I would suggest only 4 adults. House was well equipped and perfect location for the beach. Owners were outstanding as they returned items we had left, including an iPhone charger.

Summary: Lovely house, very clean and tidy, and has an upstairs bathroom which is a massive bonus in this area! Kitchen has all things you will need, plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses etc. Plenty of towels, although the bath towels could be a little larger! TV's in every room which is a nice touch. Nice little courtyard garden with table & chairs. Nice takeaways nearby, Brilliant fish & chips was good. Thoroughly enjoyed our week and will definitely look to book this house again.

Summary: Fab property located a few minutes from a beautiful beach and in walking distance of shops and pubs. The property had everything we needed and more. There is a upstairs and downstairs bathroom and the showers in them were great! Would recommend x

Summary: Great location to beach shops and pubs. Comfortable house everything you need, but the Staircase is very steep and narrow so not suitable for everyone. The court yard garden had a lovely sunny aspect, but needed sweeping daily , also the Barbecue was very rusty , as pointed out by previous reviews so we didn’t use it. On the whole we enjoyed our stay
