A fantastic addition to the Camden Farm estate, Vespers is a spacious shepherd's hut that has been positioned to take advantage of the stunning views towards the river Thames and the outstanding evening sunsets. Vespers has all you need and more, plus it's dog friendly too. This one bedroom Cotswold holiday home has a compact mini kitchen which offers space to rustle up breakfast that you can enjoy on the private terrace and the cute double cabin bed along with the long burner will keep you snug on the cooler evenings. A truly romantic hideaway all you need to do is decide who is coming with you.

Camden Farm Barns comprises seven properties in total and boasts a large estate complete with football pitch and canopy covered open games space, great for rainy day activities including ping pong and table football. Being just a short walk from the river, during spring and summer guests can rent a paddle board or hire the ex-MOD truck, 'The Goose', which sits on the riverbank, great for a picnic or BBQ. From August 2025, a six-person infrared sauna with shower will be available (see Finer Details).
All of these facilities are offered on a complimentary basis, and are bookable upon arrival at Camden Farm Barns, subject to availability and weather conditions.

There is blown hot air heating as well as the log burner to keep the place warm
WIFI (50MB broadband is available on the estate and is split evenly between all 6 properties) - you can stream and download
Wood burner - please note that logs are only supplied to guests between 1stOctober – 30thApril.
BBQ - please note that coal and gas are only supplied to guests between 1stApril – 30thSeptember.

Use of the additional facilities is provided for guests’ enjoyment on a complimentary basis, bookable on arrival and subject to availability
The sauna can be booked for an hour’s slot between 9am and 8pm, subject to availability and safety guidelines

Summary: What a wonderful setting to stay in, our dog loved it as the garden is fully enclosed so we could let her out and explore the garden. The shepherds hut had everything you would need for a holiday. A microwave, hob and all the utensils and condiments you would need. We got there and it had a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and some milk. The wildlife was amazing, hares, owls, rabbits. The list goes on. A picnic area at the side of the Thames was a great spot to watch the boats go bye. Overall a wonderful stay in Vespers!!!

Summary: A beautiful shepherds hut with gorgeous views and walks. Our only negative feedback would be the cleanliness of the hut, when we arrived there was lots of cobwebs and spiders in the hut and even where we sleep. Overall was a lovely few days to get away to the countryside.

Summary: My daughter and myself plus our cockapoo Teddy, stayed in the beautiful shepherds hut which has been well thought out.It and warm and bed so comfy with lovely touches on arrival wine and muffins.Teddy had lots of lovely space to play in including the fields which were wet and boggy but a dog's joy,Because it was in March we did not see another person during our stay and so peaceful. We were able to visit the Cotswold wildlife Zoo which was dog friendly a great day out, and had a meal at the local pub the swan on Mother's day. It will be great to see it in the warmer months when we can barbecue down by the river. A lovely stay

Summary: We spent 4 nights at Vespers and absolutely loved it. Very comfortable and with everything you might need or want, even for a longer stay. The hut is very private and the views from the verandah were great; very peaceful and very picturesque. Its a fantastic area and well set up for visiting the rest of the Cotswolds. We really liked Blakes Kitchen and The Double Red Duke in nearby Clanfield. Would certainly recommend and would be happy to go back.

Summary: The Sheppards hut is small but 'perfectly formed' and attention to detail is everywhere. The interior has been fitted out beautifully, optimum use of all the space and it feels so welcoming & cosy. The kitchen area is well equipped & lovely to arrive to milk, butter, bread (& wine!), plus all the basics such as salt & pepper, sugar are provided - really thoughtful. Location is stunning & easy to visit other villages, walks etc from there. Such a great place to be with a dog too & great to have the enclosed garden. For a small holiday let, it takes a lot of beating and 10/10 for just getting it right. Thank you for a lovely few days.

Summary: The hut is lovely but the bed is a very small double. No good if you’re over 5foot 5. We paid for a week but left after 3 nights as the location is not what we expected . The description say views towards the river Thames but no river to be seen and there is no riverside walk near by. The walk to the nearest pub is through a cow pat infested field . The hot water disunity work in the bathroom . I advised the manager but was told it’s okay if we have hot water in the kitchen sink . I do like to wash my face/ brush teeth in the bathroom though

Summary: Really enjoyed our stay at Vespers. Lovely sheppards hut. Great views down to the Thames. Lovely walks on the Thames as well. Good pub The Plough at Kelmscott & The Trout Inn at Tadpole Bridge. Very peaceful.
