Positive: We stayed in the Court Room, which was huge! Excellent value for money. Comfy sofas and bed, lovely big bath and a good shower. We ate there as well, and the food and service were exceptional. The two waiters were attentive and friendly, and the chef has to be commended for the standard of the food - we thought the curried/British fusion lamb dish was the dish of the day!
Negative: Nothing!

Positive: Room although small was all we needed for one night. It was clean and water and coffee provided free of charge. Bathroom was average but adequate for the night. Staff helpful and enjoyed the location and character.
Negative: Would have liked warning of live music on the Saturday night. In the end that and the courtyard noise didn’t keep us awake too long. Breakfast was good but the “one cup of tea or coffee included” seemed unnecessary!

Positive: This was our second visit to The Old Crown Coaching Inn. The first was on our wedding night in January 1972! 53 years later it still looks much the same from the outside, although the interior has been updated, and has the usual facilities installed that we've come to expect. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. A pleasant, characterful place to stay. There were only a couple of minor points which I'm sure would have been dealt with had we been staying for more than one night.
Negative: Bed wasn't very comfortable and duvet very thin, so not warm, (no spare blankets). No instructions for coffee maker.
