4 Bedroom House in Ponchatoula

This house is 140 year old with most of the structure restored in its original condition and foundations have been worked on to hopefully give this old gem another decade of family memories. Come stay in your perfect home away from home with all extra accommodations for guests up to 11 in our 4 bedroom charm. Air mattress provided for guests if needed. We are happy to accept your pets for as long as they are trained and we do our best to keep the grass cut before guests stays for them to enjoy the fenced in backyard. There are baggies in the drawer so please pick up their business before leaving.
Upon arrival please use the private driveway to park. Combination lock will be provided prior to your stay.
Master bedroom has a private bathroom. 2 queen bed bedrooms and bunk bed room have a common bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower. All rooms have televisions with Hulu live tv and smart access movie options. Nov-2024 installed newest fire sticks and WIfi for fast streaming connections. The side door will be operated with your very own private code to enter. The front porch is a true southern staple to enjoy your coffee or afternoon breaks on the rocking chairs. Toiletry, Shampoo, Soaps will be provided. Extra Towels, Linens, Blankets are provided. There is a Washer and Dryer with detergent and cleaning supplies to use for all of our guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with essentials and checked/updated before each guest stay. The backyard is fenced in, and a BBQ with smoker and a large picnic table is there to enjoy in the privacy of the fenced in back yard.
Complimentary Coffee and a few snacks will be provided and available to you upon arrival to make your stay truly one that makes you feel at home.
Step outside to enjoy an outdoor campfire, private backyard with plenty of seating or walk 5 minutes and be in the midst of a quaint Antique shopping experience or a dine and wine enjoying a live band at roux & brew 7 days a week.

Summary: My daughter and I stayed here while in town for her softball tournament in Hammond. The home was very cozy and spacious. She is very accommodating and provides several extra amenities. It's within walking distance to the quaint town with several restaurants and stores. We will definitely be back.We were only there for a short time

Summary: My youngest daughter and I traveled to Louisiana for the birth of a grandchild . Due to an unforeseen postnatal situation , we had to delay our departure. We then were fortunate enough to find this rental which was so comfortable and inviting . The hosts were formidable , rendering the whole experience very soothing. The home style atmosphere of this rental was truly a port in a storm . Thank you .I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone traveling to this area.

Summary: I am originally from Ponchatoula, came home for Mardi Gras. Our host was in a parade we thought we were not going to be here in time for. They left goodie bags for us all. They were very help with every request. I will choose this home again.

Summary: Very beautifully restored home in a quiet neighborhood. Well kept with everything needed, Ursula is an excellent host, she was very responsive and even decorated for Christmas. Great little neighborhood and community. Will be hoping to book again when we return.

Summary: Mrs. Ursula was fantastic when we had a small issue we had to deal with..The home was VERY well stocked for us..She thought of everything! All in our group were very happy with the home..Wifi was a bit slow, but we weren't there for that..lol! Recommend to those visiting for the Louisiana Renaissance Fest..short 18 minute drive..

Summary: On 10/31/2024, we enjoyed an early arrival with two small pups. We relaxed in the lovely “Home away from Home ” before meeting our grandchildren for the big night. About a block from their home, the sky opened up. Although soaked & tired, we returned and slept wonderfully listening to the rain on the tin roof.
