Positive: You really can't beat the location, especially for the price. I used the metro to get EVERYWHERE around Boston, it was nice that there were at least two stops very close by. The unit is very private and the bed was comfortable. Host provided towels and toiletries, and I appreciated the ample storage space & large desk.
Negative: I'll address other peoples' negative notes to help provide clarity for anyone reading over these reviews before booking. You do need to pick up AND drop off keys to the unit at a kiosk near North Station. It is about a 25 minute walk from the property, but I recommend using the extremely easily-accessible metro, only $2.40 per one-way ride. From the airport: Take any airport shuttle bus to the Blue Line Airport station, and ride Blue Line to State station. Transfer to Orange line to North Station. After you hop out and go across the street to grab the keys, you can return to North Station and take either the Green Line train to Boylston stop or the Orange Line train to Chinatown stop, both are within about a block and a half of this unit's building. Either of those stops can be used to ride back to North Station for key drop-off. The kiosk was very easy to use. Now, the unit itself. If you're looking for a sterile, modern, hotel-type stay, this is probably not the place for you. It felt quite a bit like staying at a friend's lived-in home. I found it to be acceptably clean. The building is indeed old, there is no elevator and this unit is on the third floor. There is a lot of street noise, but I was able to sleep just fine with earplugs in. I recommend turning on the over-stove fan for some ambient noise as well. Unlike other guests reviews from a couple years ago, there are curtains on the windows now and they kept the room dark. I was here in bitterly cold/windy winter weather, and the windows did not cause any temperature issues, the room was always warm.

Positive: I liked how comfortable and clean the room was. The room also came with everything I needed for cooking and bathing. I loved being in Downtown Boston! I was very close to many restaurants, the train station, and activities.
Negative: I didn't like that there was no elevator in service in the building because I had to carry a lot of stuff up very long flights of stairs. I also wish there was clarification of how, when, and where trash could be disposed of. I would've appreciated a laundry on-site or at least information on where laundry could be done.
Summary: Great room. Great location. Horrible building.

Negative: location was quite noisy during the weekend especially late at night/early morning, 2 out of 6 nights the building next door were throwing long wooden planks and big junk from the 2nd or 3rd floor onto a truck just outside the window causing very loud banging (can also feel vibration) and echoing for over an hour starting at around 4:30-4:45 in the morning, other nights there were loud sounds from same place next door where it sounded like they were banging on walls or moving large furniture between 5-7 am, couch was heavily stained and looked filthy, toilet required 3 flushes for toilet paper to go down, key check-in/drop off is very inconvenient, curtains don’t close and so much light go into the apartment even with shades down that it’s never dark going to bed
