Charming country-style villa with heated pool, garden and ocean-view. Romantic rural retreat with magnificent views of the tranquil countryside - a perfect place to unwind.
The house is surrounded by unspoilt nature, but only a 5-minute drive away from the picturesque village of Tavira with numerous restaurants and attractions. Various beaches can be reached in 10 to 15 minutes and offer a lot of variety.
The cottage has 2 double bedrooms, 2 newly renovated bathrooms, open-plan living area with wood burning stove, fully equipped kitchen and dining area.
There are many windows making the rooms bright and friendly. A small chamber upstairs with desk and wicker chairs offers a wide panoramic view over the landscape. To welcome the morning sun from here is a wonderful start to the day.
Outside there are 4 different terraces - 2 with view of the sunset, 1 with sea-view - barbecue and heated pool.
The variety of spots around the house combined with the surrounding nature, wonderful views and tranquility make this a very special and charming place.
The house has air conditioning for heating and cooling. All windows are equipped with mosquito nets.
Due to the existing heating system and the lovely open fireplace in the living room the house is ideal also in the beautiful winter months.
Fast Wi-Fi is free and unlimited (very rare in the region).
The property has its own photovoltaic system and is therefore CO2-neutral.
Pool heating with twelve kilowatts allows the water to be heated by about 10 °C - ideal especially in autumn, winter and spring.
Satellite TV (UK, Germany, Portugal).
House and the pool are cleaned once a week. Linen and towels are changed weekly as well.
The property has a parking space directly in front of the house.
Tavira is only a few minutes away by car. The city has a historic centre with many pretty alleys and squares, small shops, restaurants and cafes, an old castle complex with park, various museums, a market hall, many churches and a camera obscura. In the warmer months fado performances and open-air concerts take place regularly.
Beautiful beaches in the area include Praia do Barril (15 minutes by car), Praia de Cabanas (20 minutes by car), Praia Verde (20 minutes by car) and the Ilha de Tavira (accessible from Tavira by ferry). Differing in waves, seclusion and style of the beach clubs they offer a lot of variety.
There are many wonderful restaurants in Tavira and the immediate vicinity - most of them with excellent value for money. Here you can sit in a cozy atmosphere and enjoy your stay with local specialties, fresh fish or tapas. The next restaurant is only a five-minute drive away.
Supermarkets are about five kilometers away (8 minutes by car). Faro Airport is about a 30-minute drive away.
Also excursions to surrounding places such as Loulé, Olháo, Faro or Villa Real de Santo Antonio or across the border to Spain (30 minutes by car) are highly recommended.
Golfing, horse riding, cycling or hiking are just some of the many possible activities in the region.
The house can be reached from Faro Airport by rental car in half an hour.
In principle, the site can only be booked on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. In the winter months, different times are also possible on request. Special conditions for bookings of over four weeks on request.
Check-in from 3:00 pm. Check-out by 10:00 a.m.
50 € fee for final cleaning. For stays of several weeks, there is a weekly exchange of bed linen and towels, as well as a refresher cleaning.
With regard to small children, we would like to point out that the house has an open, unfenced pool area.
No pets.

Summary: This house is really nice and cosy and in a very secluded area about 10 minutes drive from Tavira. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need and the pool is great (just a few steps down to the pool area). Tavira itself is a lovely, quiet town with a relaxed feel.

Summary: We had a lovely week in the villa. It was just as we expected from the villa description and guest comments. Loved breakfasting looking out over the pool and the hills beyond, so peaceful. You definitely need a hire car as access is up long narrow roads/ tracks but it is so worth it. The beds were really comfortable and the villa is well stocked with all that you could need. The television is fairly modest but that was not an issue at all with the beautiful views to look at. We had never been to Portugal before and loved Tavira and the surrounding area. It felt like the real Portugal, beautiful and not too commercialised. Caterina the property manager was excellent, really helpful and the house guide book was also great with lots of ideas of where to visit. Many thanks for a lovely week!

Summary: What a lovely villa. Very private, not overlooked at all. Fantastic views towards the hills northwards and, from the upstairs terrace, to the sea. A car is a must, you are 1km from the main road but we liked that as it was so peaceful. Excellent management service, as was the cleaning lady and pool/maintenance man. Couldn’t fault the villa at all.

Summary: We visited Casa Boa Vista in 2018 and loved the short stay we had and we were determined to go back. This time to a now heated pool making the whole place much more attractive! The house was as lovely as always, with plenty of outdoor spaces to sit and eat, and room around the pool to catch some sun and just recharge - which was exactly what we wanted. The secluded location makes this a great self catering venue, with 2 good supermarkets a short drive away. Other than that you have the town of Taveria a short drive away and the place is a good jumping off point to other day trips around the Algarve (we spent a day in Spain which was lovely). You do need a hire car to really get out and enjoy the local area, there’s nothing in walking distance so if walking to local bars appeals - this is probably not for you. But if you’re looking for a lovely, well maintained, quiet, peaceful stay (and this is a very quiet location) this place is brilliant, a lovely house, great views and great agent to deal with. Couldn’t have asked for better. Thank you

Summary: The house was great, just outside of Tavira & with fantastic views of the surrounding area. Despite being away from the town it was only a 10-15 minute drive to all the beaches & some great restaurants. The house was exactly as described & the beds were comfortable, which is important. The check in was also excellent as the staff at Happy Homes Algarve we’re lovely. Thanks Catarina!

Summary: Villa offered what we anticipated. Clean and well presented with pool temp in upper 20’s. Nice surroundings and not too far away from Tavira. Car is required as taxis where unreliable. Recommended.

Summary: The house is located a short drive from Tavira on a hillside with a beautiful view. From the roof top terrace you could even spot the ocean. We enjoyed 2 weeks of vacation in this house and found it was perfect for our family with two small children. The pool is located with a beautiful view over the orange orchards and vineyards and there are many seating possibilities around the house. My kids especially enjoyed the pool and of course also the surroundings with lots of animals (gekkos, bunnies etc) The house is very clean and has all the facilities that you need. As we stayed there for two weeks we even had a cleaning lady coming over after a week to clean and change the linen. It is a perfect spot to relax and discover Algarve and also to take trips over to Spain.
