Positive: The buildings and grounds are very nice and the location gorgeous. Our suite with ocean view was nicely decorated and had great views and a hot tub. Food was tasty.
Negative: Some lack of maintenance is noticeable throughout the property. Parking for guests is basically a lawn that turns into mud with rain. Not adequate. The luggage wasn't taken to the room and no one answers the phone (not the front desk, not the bell captain, not the concierge). So we had to trek back to check-in to get it ourselves. Check-in is slow and cumbersome. The drinks are weak and the food selection at the restaurants is limited. There are many severely sunburned, overweight and mostly elderly Americans and Canadians, basically getting drunk by the pool. Don't expect a high quality crowd (mullets, sleeveless tshirts, garish clothing choices). It reminded me of cheap all inclusive hotels in Spain or Turkey. There's an exclusive VIP and adult only section with a separate pool that's much better but not open to all guests. All in all, was it worth $570 per night for two people and truly a 5 star experience? No.

Positive: Music was great, although it could be a bit loud from time to time Food was very good, plentiful and varied. Kudos to the Italian restaurant Staff were excellent. My wife had sprained her ankle a few days before our arrival, so the staff put us in a room close to most amenities….it was very, very much appreciated. The restaurant staff were excellent, with special mention for Kathleen Jesse and Manuel. Our room was quiet and spacious and kept clean The pools were warm and clean, with great towel services Grounds we’re beautifully kept
Negative: The smell from the swamp/sewer behind the apartments South of the main entrance was pretty rank. Had numerous run-ins with the room safe. It was unnecessarily complicated…much more so than any I’ve ever encountered in all my years of travel. The main suggestion for improvement would be for the hotel to create more shady areas to hide from the mid-afternoon scorching. There is almost nowhere to hide from 2pm to 4 pm.

Negative: our room was freezing- was told we couldn’t put down the temperature but i fell in the room because of the condensation. couldn’t see the ocean even tho we paid for an ocean view room.

Positive: Everything was excellent the food, pool, and room. Good variety of foods and also the restaurants. The hotel staff very helpful and courteous. And the hotel very clean, also like the location.
