Eagle View Condo is a modern, 2 bed, 2 bath condo located in the Eagle Pointe Resort on Lake Monroe just 15 minutes SE of Bloomington, Indiana and close to the IU campus. Step out onto the expansive, tree top level deck overlooking Eagle Bay and you will know you have made the right choice!
The Space:
Fall asleep each night in the master bedroom’s luxurious king bed and wake up to a treetop view. There is a private entrance from the master bedroom to the deck overlooking the Lake. This bedroom adjoins a master bath with a tub/shower combination. A cozy second bedroom is conveniently outfitted with two single beds, and its own private bath with a shower. In the center of the condo is an open living, dining, and kitchen space with access to the amazing deck and bay views. The living area has a sleeper sofa and an ornamental fireplace. The open kitchen is well equipped and features a coffee bar to get you started with a morning cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The unit has 2 satellite TVs (one in the master bedroom and one in the living room) and free Wi-Fi internet access. The spacious deck offers ample seating for lounging and dining and a cozy porch swing. An electric grill is provided for outdoor dining experiences. (Charcoal and gas grills are prohibited). A clothes washer and dryer are available for your convenience.
Activities:
Enjoy the Eagle Point Golf Course, an 18 hole professional course with pro shop, driving range, restaurant and bar. You have seasonal access to the community swimming pool, tennis court, and basketball court (generally Memorial Day to Labor Day). It is convenient to IU, Bloomington, and Brown County Indiana. A short drive down the Road takes guests to Fairfax public beach and marina if you want to swim, rent a boat or put your own boat in Lake Monroe. Enjoy Eagle sightings and bird watching from the deck
Guest Access:
The condo is located in a gated community with 24 hour security staff. You enter through a secured gate house (you will have a pass to come in and out) and take a short scenic drive through the gated community, around the swimming pool and down the hill to Eagle Bay Condos. Vehicle parking is available close to the condo entrance. The interior of the condo is on one level, but you will need to go down and up a few steps to get from the parking lot to the condo door. The condo is equipped with a keyless entry, you will be provided with a code.
Please Note:
Although Eagle View Condo has a beautiful view of Eagle Bay on Lake Monroe, there is no boat access or swimming to the lake from the property. In addition, boat, trailer, and RV parking is prohibited anywhere on the Eagle Pointe Resort property. If you are bringing your own boat or camper you will need to make your own arrangements for parking these vehicles off site. Perhaps the Fairfax Marina, just a short jaunt down the road, could be the place. Also, please be considerate guest and observe the quiet hours between 10pm and 8am that are also posted in the condo.
All our cabins have a 3 night minimum for Major Holidays.

Summary: Only issue we had was that we drove to the main office instead of the property which was detailed in the reviews...our mistake. Everything else was as advertised. The deck is nicer than expected with the view and size.

Summary: This was a lovely, well appointed condo in a gated community in the country just south of Bloomington. It has a large deck looking out onto Lake Monroe. Four of us went for the Eclipse and it was a good experience. Everyone at Hills O' Brown, the company that rents it, was very helpful and friendly. Check in was easy. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am and, overall it was quite peaceful. It was a nice place to get away from it all for a few days and I'd recommend it.

Summary: Pretty part of the country and not too far from Indiana University. Condo is in good shape and it is roomy. Golf course on the property looks good too.

Summary: My husband and I have stayed here with our friends several years in a row. Eagle View has a very large deck overlooking the lake, we always see lots of wildlife! It's easy to get to, includes a well-stocked kitchen, large living/dining room area and comfortable bedrooms.

Summary: Celebrating his 75th birthday in my husband’s home state near the IU campus where we met. My brother and sister-in-law who live in Indianapolis joined us. The setting of the condo was beautiful the views were lovely the patio ideal if the furniture outdoors has been clean enough to use. The condo was comfortable, but desperately needed carpets cleaned, the oven cleaned, the grill cleaned and sharing three bath towels for four people did not seem adequate. Love reading about the history of the family, but appears the second and third generations are not taking the care that the original owners would have if they were still around. We frequently rent VRBO properties in the US Europe and South America. We have a vacation home in Victoria British Columbia. I think it’s great the family continues to enjoy this location and the memories that their condo holds. I just think they need to step it up a notch if they want to rent to responsible renters, rather than just college students. Thank you so much for sharing it with us, it was a great visit. Dr. & Mrs. Craig Johnson, Houston, Tx. P.S. The directions to the condo that were sent to us were completely in adequate we were lost three times. The included maps were in adequate as well. Just tell people to take 37 south from Bloomington and it’s a clear shot. When we got to the gate they had no map of the neighborhood so they couldn’t tell us where the condo was they just told us to go through the gate. That took another 20 minutes. You have lovely neighbors there who were very helpful and walked with us till we finally found a house hidden in the corner. This is not a user-friendly process.!!!
