Positive: It is not easy to get from the train station to the hotel if it is your first time in Zurich. It is kind of confusing, but once you find it, it is about 10-15min walk from the main station. I thought I had asked for a lower level room because I read there are no elevators (just for luggage), but got assigned a room on the 4th floor. My sister has problems with her legs so she called the manager and asked to be relocated. He came out in a couple of minutes and was very nice and accommodating. They only had one room on the ground floor available and had given us the 4th floor because the ground floor did not have a/c (there was a heat wave in Europe in June). We said we preferred the heat to the stairs, so he gave us the room and a standing fan. The first room we saw was small, no table, no chair, and the bed was very low. The 2nd room was a bit bigger and it had a table and a cube that could be used as a chair or a table, but the bed was also very low. We didn't stay much in the hotel so the heat was not a problem, but we couldn't open the windows because there was no protection and we were on the ground floor. There are free lockers to keep your luggage after check-out which can fit a large suitcase. The location is like in the middle of a nice area and a shady area, it depends which way you walk. We didn't get to the hotel after dark and wouldn't have done it just because there wasn't a lot of people walking around so it might not be so safe.
Negative: I found the price to be too high for the room we got. I understand Switzerland is expensive, but it was the highest price I paid in Europe (9 hotels) and the one I liked the least. The position of the bathrooms is weird so doors in both rooms hit something when opening them. The top of 1st door hit a part of the wall and the 2nd door hit the bed.

Positive: There are luggage lockers you can store your bags in until check in, the room was clean and had the basic amenities available, check-in was easy; best thing about the hotel is the location, it's close to the main Zurich train station and easy to get to the city center.
Negative: The luggage elevator wasn't working, we were on the third floor and we had big bags. The room is very small and not easy to open and organize bags in. There is no reception and so if you need anything or want to ask anything during the stay you either have to send a message or call the owners, neither of which is convenient if all you want is a quick answer. There is no air conditioning or ceiling fans which means you need to keep the window open, this means all the noise from the street comes in.
Summary: Suitable if all you want is a place to sleep and shower.

Negative: The bathroom shower and bedroom itself is not well lit, shower head kept falling off and water kept splashing outside of the shower also the bathroom sliding door was not able to close fully. Room was very hot as there is a no AC and we were not told about the fact that fans were available for use in the rooms. There is no staff available right away in case you need help with checking in.
Summary: Good location but bathroom can be updated and renovated.

Positive: The room was basic and very clean and the check-in process was very easy. I liked that we could leave our bags in a locker free of charge until our departure time even after check-out.
Negative: We would have liked to have had an extra pillow> It seems to be a European thing that only one pillow is supplied. The pillows are so soft and thin you end up with your head on the mattress anyway. One has to fold the pillow in half for it to actually be effective. Also, the toilet could have been positioned in the middle of the Pod for better privacy. Although the glass is frosted you could still see the other person's outline and exactly what they were doing.
Summary: Easy, Clean and Convenient.
