This sweet all Teak building was imported by us from Bali Indonesia. It is a free standing bedroom upon its own knoll with fantastic jungle, ocean and "Monkey Mountain" views.
This space feels like Thailand or Bali Indonesia surrounded by gardens and the tropical palm jungle making a very beautiful and private retreat experience.
This property is a twenty minute walk or a five minute car, taxi or golf cart ride to the center of Sayulita.
You can easily access this bustling surf and fishing village yet enjoy the peace and quiet of living in the jungle looking out over the open Pacific Ocean. Going to the south from our entrance road will bring you to Punta Mita, La Lancha, Burrows or Anclotê all great and remote surfing options within a fifteen minute
car ride.
Selva del Mar translates to “Jungle by the Sea” and is located on fifteen acres amid one of the last remaining protected tropical jungles along the Riviera Nayarit. Selva del Mar sits high on a ridge overlooking the beautiful Pacific ocean where you can watch the sun set slowly into the big blue ocean waters 365 days of the year.
Listen to the sounds of the jungle and you will be able to hear many different kinds of bird songs from mocking jays & chakalakas to parakeets flying in groups of forty or more in a constant conversation.
Selva del Mar offers three different and unique living situations designed as individual homes set along tropical jungle pathways, well separated for privacy yet close enough to share this property with friends or family. Palapa Papalillo a beautiful one bedroom one bath perched on a knoll overlooking the ocean, El Templo imported from Bali one bedroom one bath jungle hideaway, , and Casa Mandala , two bedroom one bath with a very large rooftop ocean and jungle view deck which also has an outdoor Bali bed under a lovely Palapa. This house can easily accommodate six people.
A good part of the experience is just being in the jungle enjoying the wonders that nature has to offer. It is only a ten minute walk on a well maintained path to the pristine Playa Patzquarito, a long white and black sand beach, undisturbed by the business of town, without vendors, and with few people to encounter.
