This is the perfect apartment for those who like to relax at the end of the day, after exploring the city, drinking a Port wine in this refined and warm atmosphere, punctuated with vintage pieces from the first decades of the 20th century!
The great comfort of the apartment is guaranteed by the air conditioning and the excellent insulation and soundproofing, and also from the velvet and silk fabrics, and delicate sheets on the beds.
The apartment, in a traditional building from the 1940s, has just been completely restored. Its location is perfect for exploring the city of Porto on foot!
The kitchen is equipped with ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, oven, grill, espresso machine, kettle, etc and washing machine and vacuum cleaner. Also available two LCD TVs and Wi-Fi connection.
It has two full bathrooms, and the details of the bedrooms are:
1 - the purple bedroom, very cozy, from wich the only opening is a large sliding glass door onto the bright entrance hall of the small balcony, and with thick curtains to cut the light.
The imposing rosewood bed from the first decade of the 19th century is in the traditional Portuguese style Dona Maria, and has a comfortable mattress of 1.40 x 2.00
2 - the green bedroom has a king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00) and mattress of the highest quality which can be separated into two single beds. There are blinds and curtains for total darkness.
3 - the red bedroom, warm and welcoming, with a sofa bed that opens and turns into a comfortable double bed of 1.40 x 2.00 , and also with thick blinds and curtains for total darkness.
To enter into the green bedroom you pass through the red bedroom, therefore, for an occupancy of up to 4 people, the green bedroom works like a large suite with antechamber and private bathroom
The apartment has two entrances. By the main entrance, the apartment is on the second floor,
without elevator, but with very comfortable stairs.
By the other entrance, access is through the gate below to the street and the comfortable outdoor stairs to the balcony.
The apartment includes free parking in a garage 50 meters from the building
Fresh fruit and Porto wine are offered for consumption on arrival free.

Summary: Jorge and Manuela were amazing hosts! We stayed as their guests for 5 weeks. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jorge who gave us a map with areas/restaurants/things to do marked. We were also greeted with champagne, wine, port, fresh fruits, and chocolates!The area was close to the city center, churches, Ribeira, Gaia (for port tastings), and the shopping areas, which was an ideal location for walking and exploring. We did not realize what a foodie area Porto was and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurants that you could walk to were amazing.This apartment was very spacious, especially by European standards, and exceptionally well stocked. Jorge and Manuela made sure that we had everything we could possibly need. We stayed for 5 weeks and they had the apartment cleaned every week which was so nice! The beds were very comfortable. Bedrooms are split providing privacy from each other. There are stairs as stated in the listing. Americans would do well to remember that in America (except NY as far as I know) we count the ground floor as 1. In Europe it is usually counted as 0. Therefore there were more stairs than we expected but they were easy to traverse. When we travel back to Porto, these owners would be our first choice of properties to return to visit. Their pride of ownership shows, not only in the property, but in the hospitality.Thank you Jorge and Manuela for making our stay so memorable!

Summary: Jorge was a great communicator and accommodated us for an early check in. He provided everything we could need. The apartment was beautifully furnished, spacious, and comfortable. We were a five minute uber from downtown Porto so it was very convenient. The little neighborhood had a nice breakfast cafe around the corner for great coffee and several restaurants within walking distance. It’s a typical working class neighborhood so you’re living like a local. Many thanks to Jorge, a consummate host.

Summary: Our first time to Porto & we are so happy that we picked this place! Jorge was so kind and accommodating. He made it a very easy process. This place exceeded our expectations. It was super clean and beautifully decorated. Loved the layout. We had everything we needed plus some nice added treats! The area is a great location to get to all the attractions we wanted to see. I felt very safe the whole time too. We will stay here again!!

Summary: Manuela and Jorge provide wonderful accomodations for their guests! They care for guests like family rather than clients! The accomodations were beyond expextation... wine, fruit and morning drinks were there for us! The location was very convenient and the apartment very clean and safe. Manuela was generous with her time providing a map and pointing out interesting places we may want to visit.

Summary: Very lovely apartment within walking distance to many sites. The hosts were very knowledgeable of the area and presented us with many options to visit and have a great meal that proved to be excellent. The apartment was very large with an art deco feel. Two flights of stairs were not difficult for us (2 of us are 70 plus).The weather was super and the hills manageable. The beds were very comfortable and there were little treats for us to eat and drink. The marble kitchen sink was amazing ! We would book again in a heartbeat.

Summary: The apartment was perfect.We had 4 people on the group including a married couple. There was a very private and large bedroom and bathroom for them which afforded privacy. There were 2 other very large, spacious bedrooms and a second bathroom. All the rooms were well furnished with excellent style. It was also helpful to have a clothes-washing machine in the apartment. The hostess met with us at length and answered any questions we had. This was an outstanding short-term rental. I definitely recommend it.
