The Space:
Step into The Amelia, where you'll enjoy the exclusive use of one side of this beautifully renovated all-brick duplex. Your private access leads you to a designer-friendly living room, perfect for unwinding with a good book or indulging in your favorite shows on our ROKU Smart TV.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans for the day-to-day chefs as well as all the necessities to have a home-cooked meal. Discover a delightful oasis just off the kitchen – our inviting dry bar awaits your pleasure! Savor your mornings with a steaming cup of coffee or embrace the evening's charm with a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail. We've provided a curated cocktail recipe book and a shaker for crafting your favorite concoctions. The perfect spot to unwind and relish the moment.
Retreating to the rear of our home, you'll discover two inviting bedrooms. The larger of the two is perfect for those traveling with little ones, offering ample space to accommodate a pack-and-play/crib, which we can provide for a nominal $10 fee. As for the master bedroom, it comes thoughtfully equipped with a dedicated workspace, complete with a cozy desk and chair. Whether you seek relaxation or productivity, our bedrooms are ready to cater to your every need.
A full bathroom with a deep soaking tub/shower combo is conveniently located at the end of the hall. Bath amenities are there for your convenience.
Don't forget to embrace the beautiful Charlotte weather – step out onto your private, screened-in porch, thoughtfully furnished with cozy outdoor furniture, and let the gentle breeze from the ceiling fan envelop you in ultimate comfort and relaxation. It's a tranquil retreat designed to make your stay truly enjoyable and unforgettable.
Guest Access:
You'll have access to the entire left side of the duplex. There is a door in between the two sides of the duplex, located in the hallway, that is always locked and soundproofed for the guest's (and our own) convenience. The backyard has yet to be renovated, but we keep it mowed in case you'd like to use it for any reason.
Other things to note:
My wife and our two children (2.5 yrs old and 4.5 yrs old) live on the other side. You'll more than likely see us coming and going as we try and keep up with our kiddos! Feel free to say hello!
Throughout the renovation, we tried to do as much as possible to limit the transfer of sound in between the two sides but, as you can imagine, it's nearly impossible to limit ALL sound. So you may hear our kiddos before and after school. But we try to keep things as quiet as possible.

Summary: This place was perfect for our stay in Charlotte! My husband, his parents, and I stayed about a week for a wedding. The house was in a great location in a residential neighborhood, but a short drive to good restaurants. And it was walkable to the very lovely Freedom park where we took almost daily walks. The house was well stocked with the essentials, and the beds were comfortable. Having the washer and dryer was really handy. Communication with the host was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Summary: This is the nicest VRBO I’ve stayed in in roughly three years. Compact but not small, this is a well thought out and appointed two bedroom. The kitchen has a nice selection of pots and pans that are in excellent shape. Kitchen knives are sharp. (A rarity.) Luggage racks in the bedrooms. Bedside tables have USB and plug-in ports. And if you need to find sockets elsewhere around the house, the face plates are white against the baseboard black. Generous selections of teas and coffees are provided. New appliances. Quiet neighborhood. Two hassle-free off street parking places. Nice small screened porch. Right next to a large wonderful park with ball fields, hoops and kid friendly apparatuses. Great communication with the owners. Simple check in and check out. And clean as a whistle.

Summary: The Amelia was everything we needed for our business stay in Charlotte. The exterior is charming, only to be outdone by the interior. Matt and Laura did a wonderful job updating the cottage to function like a modern home while maintaining all the original charm. It was silent at night, allowing for a good night's sleep. Conveniently located adjacent to Freedom Park where we could take a walk or jog after work. Just minutes to Trader Joe's and Target. Our new home away from home.

Summary: This rental is just as cute as it is in the pictures (if not more charming!) Parking was exceptional and it’s in a great area with easy access to all the areas you would want to visit. Summary: Staging - awestruck from the moment you walk-in. Couple of things that could make it better: ability to hang ironed dress slacks and dresses (I was there for a family wedding). All closets are set for half-shelving. The bathtub should have a safety bar, to use to get up and out. Please hardware install - not command strips :). Finally, could not stream a free movie? Buffering kept saying it was the internet connection? I may have been doing something wrong? Overall, I came down with Bronchitis my first day there and it continued/got worse during my stay. My hacking probably kept the owners on the other side of the wall awake! So sorry. Overall, this VRBO met my needs. This was the second part of a trip, I knew I would need the washer/dryer - items were supplied, everything was clean, and appreciated the hospitality. Everything promised was delivered. Thank you for a comfortable place to be sick!
