Summary: Was looking for a place to sleep in middle of a long drive. Saved a lot of money by getting off the highway a few miles. Unique location and a super nice owner. I will return.

Summary: This is such a charming place to stay. There are so many nooks and crannies in which you can read, observe, relax. The breakfast of scrambled eggs, fruit, granola , and waffles was good. There is ample outdoor seating for good weather. All in all, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely return.

Summary: For the price, this an amazing value. The Elk Forge Inn has a great charm to it, and we had the place practically to ourselves this time of year. I really appreciated the heat vent just outside the shower to stay warm. It also comes equipped with fireplaces in all rooms, all were functional. There were a few issue, I was a bit concerned about the temperature of our Baltimore room, but the electric fireplace helped keep it adequate enough. Also, there are some noticeable cosmetic issues in the front hallway, but didn't detract whatsoever from the stay. The owner, Harry came and met us personally in the morning, and he's a delight to talk to. If you are looking for a alternative to the corporate hotel chains in the Elkton/University of Delaware area, I highly suggest this Inn.

Summary: The property needs a real overhaul! It’s not dirty, but it’s dingy, and toilet barely flushed. They also have a freight train right near the property and it honked its horn at night. 😳 Also, our in room jacuzzi was really dingy so we wore our bathing suits. Uggh. The breakfast was also ehhh, and the coffee was horrible. We won’t be back.
