Big windows and amazing views of the Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area from every room in the house. Spacious living areas, with chef's kitchen, large dining area and light-filled living room with cathedral ceilings and big windows overlooking the surrounding park land.
New in 2022 - High Speed Internet! You can use the wifi to stream Netflix / Amazon Prime and other streaming services.
Miles of hiking, mountain biking or horse riding trails right out of the back gate.
Trails include ~75 miles of single track, grass fields and woods. Hear the owls in the evening, see foxes & deer from the kitchen window.
In addition to facilities listed, there is also an outdoor shower. Please note that the hot tub is out of service, so it has been removed from the list of amenities, and the price reflects that change.
Horse riding can be arranged through Fair Hill Stables.
If you want to bring your own horses, stalls may be available at the fairgrounds depending on the event schedule. Call the Fair Hill park office to book.

Summary: Owner communicated well. There were bees in the guest room and we had to take care of ourselves. The lock code was not what was sent but changed it right away. The house is beautiful and the sun room is a great coffee spot. All of the cookware was very helpful to have!

Summary: This is our second time to stay here and find it perfectly appointed for our needs and close to the event we attend. Mornings on the porch with coffee in hand listening to the visiting birds is amazing. A favorite to be sure!

Summary: This is a gorgeous, very well designed and built home, beautifully located, and within an easy drive of all the splendors of the Brandywine region. Very well appointed, comfy and quiet. And Hattie was a delight to be in touch with- very kind and helpful.

Summary: My wife and daughter and her friend came from colorado and stayed for a lacrosse tournament at your home and adsuy loved it!! Everything g was as described snd the setting and location were perfect. We have 6 Vrbo’s in Vail colorado and have been doing vrbo since 2001 ( VRBO # 9644) and know the business well!! You did a great job!! Thank you

Summary: The house and property were a great match for our family getaway. We had plenty of space to unwind and relax. The lawn area was great for the kids and we enjoyed eating meals on the patio. The proximity to Fair Hill also allowed us to get out and explore so many nature trails. Birdwatching was also a fun activity for the group. We had a wonderful stay.

Summary: Stayed here with a multi-generation family for UD's graduation. The house was just what we needed to come back to relax after hectic packing/cleaning and multiple ceremonies. Wonderful to just sit and eat breakfast watching all of the birds that visit the property. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Summary: We loved the house but the screened in porch looking out on the bird feeders was our favorite place to watch the bird show. We wished we had brought binoculars! Thanks for a delightful stay.
