WiFi and telephone now available! We have been looking forwad to the availabity of WiFi up river for years knowing that in today's world this service is important to people. We also have added a SMART TV!
*Please note: Since the house is sometimes vacant, there are security cameras on the exterior for insurance purposes.
This beautifully spacious home is located in the Elk River Wilderness area and sits on 460 feet of river frontage that provides bank fishing in the fall, as well as safe river fun for children during summertime when the river is lower. The pristine Elk River is a fisherman's paradise and a relaxing get-a-way retreat to commune with nature for all. This home is a perfect place to gather with friends and family.
The large Master Suite on 1st level includes a Calif. King bed, large walk-in closet, and a sitting area with sofa sleeper for reading or watching movies. The full bath has a jetted garden tub and separate walk-in shower. The Suite also has a sliding glass door to a large deck overlooking the river.
Two large upstairs bedrooms can sleep up to 11~ perfect for sharing time with family or friends.
The Riverside bedroom has a queen, full, and a twin bed, and a sliding door to balcony for river and wildlife viewing! Second bedroom has queen, twin, and a bunk bed with a twin on top and full on bottom. This room also has a glass sliding door and it's own balcony overlooking the front garden.
There is also a full bath upstairs with a tub/shower combination that is located between the two bedrooms.
The 1st level also includes an open fully stocked kitchen with Refigerator, Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher. Eating areas include wrap around kitchen bar that seats 5. A dining table which seats 6 and a sitting area with two easy chairs by the window looking out to the river. Or, should you choose to dine 'alfresco', the dining room also has a sliding glass door out to the large deck over looking the river. Tables and chairs (seating for 10) and a gas grill are provided.
The cozy living room features a woodstove to warm you on brisk days and a SMART TV which is set up for DVD/VHS entertainment.. (furniture seating for 8)
This home also includes a full laundry room for your convience.
Tile floors on the main living level make for a carefree stay in a wilderness area. (And pet friendly surface)
Out door gathering spaces include the large deck overlooking the river and a quaint rock fireplace in a wooded area adjcent to the house~ a charming spot for fireside chats (during fire safe times) or roasting hotdogs and marshmallows while enjoying the woodsy setting.

Summary: My now husband and I stayed at this property leading up to our wedding which we celebrated locally in Langlois. This was a great location where we were able to relax and spend time with friends and family, and be able to include our dog Rocco. There was plenty of space, ample parking, and a comfort in which the property provided. We did notice that the house was not fully cleaned upon our arrival, the entry floor was not fully swept, there was a bag of trash in the master bathroom vanity, and the kitchen counter tops were very dusty. The master bedroom sliding door lock to the deck was broken and the dining room screen to the deck had holes near the handle. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and the property fulfilled our needs!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at this property. Plenty of room to spread out while still being together. Loved the space on the deck. Enjoyed the additional seating through out the home so that people could gather easily! Saw a few deer, went upriver to a great swimming hole, spent time at the ocean and went on the jet boats in Gold Beach! Highly recommend this home to bring family together in a peaceful relaxing setting!

Summary: Amazing! My family and I absolutely loved it. Plenty of space for everyone, plenty of things to keep the kiddos busy, BBQ on the deck. We are from Washington State all the way up north for a family wedding and was able to get together with all our family for an evening BBQ before we headed out. Views, quiet, really relaxing. Deck is a little unstable in a few spots, and the BBQ wasn’t working but my husband was able to get it fixed. Highly recommend! We plan to do another stay at the same location next year!

Summary: We had a family get together and used the house as our home base. It was so nice that we could stay there and have local family come over for a couple of BBQs. The river was right at the back and we all loved it. Plus the fish hatchery next door was an interesting add to our adventure. You could not get a better spot.

Summary: I come to the Port Orford area regularly for work. This summer I brought some of my family and enjoyed our stay. The host was an excellent communicator and the home felt...homey. We enjoyed the location in nature and so close to outdoor recreation.

Summary: We took a chance and went somewhere new for our yearly camping trip. When we got there, opened the door and the smell of mold hits you right in the face. I was not thrilled after that. Cleaning needs to be worked on. There were spiders everywhere. Spiderwebs in every coroner you could think of. The jacuzzi tub works if you’re lucky. The bbq was a joke. It has 1 burner that works, one that kinda works(better off not using it), one that doesn’t work at all, and one missing completely. The kids ran a bath, the water came out brown. For the amount we paid to stay there, I expected things to be better. I can’t say we would be staying there again.

Summary: This place was perfect for us. And plenty room for a dive boats!! We didn’t get the Dive as much as we wanted to. But it’s all good mother nature was just blowing too hard. I would definitely recommend this place for a group of people. I waited too long to book it for the Fourth of July. But went to places that good it’s going to go fast. Thank you again, Guy.
