4 Bedroom Place in Little Falls

Enjoy the country on this 80 acre farm site! We have Cows, Silky Goats (momma and son) Chickens, Ducks and a Cat! You are invited to do chores (feed the animals) if you or your children desire. The property boasts 5 spectacular perennial beds! The home is on a dead end road with the house and buildings in the middle of the 80 acres. So if peace, quiet, solitude and relaxation are what you are craving, this is your spot! No traffic noise, no visible neighbors, no tv nor internet, but clear signal for cell phones and data :-)
Tons of good old fashion fun! Hay bales to climb, tree swing, petting and caring for the farm animals, hide and seek, and freedom to enjoy the great outdoors!
Plus there is lots to do in the area, Little Falls is less than 5 minutes away. Some family activities include Pine Grove Zoo, Lindbergh State Park and Museum, Bike and Canoe Rental for the Mississippi River and Paved Bike Trails, Minnesota Fishing Museum, and several restaurants. In addition, Saint Cloud and Brainerd are approximately 30 minutes away.
The house features all wood floors, two bedrooms upstairs and one on the main level. Relax on the covered front porch that faces the beautiful barn, windmill and the farmyard! Enjoy the sun porch on the back of the farm house that faces the shade flower bed. The bathroom is located on the main level and the bathtub doesn't have a shower. The full kitchen is equipped with a gas stove/oven, refrigerator, and microwave. The farmhouse has no AC but stays pleasantly cool on its own. We suggest that you keep windows and shades closed during the heat of day and use the ceiling fans. Feel free to open windows during the cooler times of the day and enjoy the county air.

Summary: Coffee while watching the sun rise, the sound of birds and wind and farm critters. Full moon and all the stars visible. It felt like a home coming. Farmers Patty and Dave were excellent hosts. Would encourage others to spend time here.

Summary: We had a nice four night stay at the farmhouse at Misty Meadows. The house is at the end of a dead end road and is in a very quiet, relaxing area. Despite a hot stretch of weather, the farmhouse stayed cool and it cooled off nicely at night being in the country. The owners were accommodating and allowed our kids to feed the chickens, goats, and Willow the cat, and collect fresh eggs. The red barns provide a nice backdrop for photos as well. Little Falls offers a surprising amount of activities and is within 30 minutes of Brainerd, so the location is nice. We recommend the Pine Grove Zoo and the Safari North Wildlife Park, especially with younger children. The only drawback of the house was that the bedrooms on the main floor did not have doors and the children's bedroom was open to the living room, which made it challenging to be active in the house when the kids were sleeping. We would stay at Misty Meadows again.
