A short stroll down the hill brings you to the Lake Placid Marina (0.3 mi.), where boat rentals are available to explore this 2,173 acre glacial lake. Dock at Whiteface landing, at the foot of the Olympic mountain, and enjoy swimming and a picnic. Also, a public boat ramp is nearby (0.2 mi.), as well as access to the Jackrabbit and Peninsula hiking trails. The home offers an open floor plan, and the kitchen is at the heart of the action with all the latest (Don't people always end up in the kitchen?) in amenities, and large windows so you can appreciate the wooded setting. Summary: What an amazing property. Perfect place for family getaway. short walk into town or to the marina to rent boats. walked around Mirror Lake every morning right from the house with a stop in town for coffee/breakfast. would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Our family spent the week at this beautiful home. It was perfect for our large family. The open concept allowed us to spend quality time together, and it is within walking distance of downtown Lake Placid, a lovely town to explore. There were many homes to choose from in the area, but I am so happy that we chose to stay here! Highly recommend!!!
