This 2700-square-foot Home on two acres is the perfect family retreat just 12 miles SE from the heart of Downtown Durango.
This house was built to gather friends and family with a 5' x 10' dining table that seats 12 along with a kitchen bar that seats 6. The dining area is shared with the kitchen and living areas that comprise over 1100 sqft of joined space that house both the upright and Grand pianos! Your family will also enjoy the 18-foot vaulted ceiling in this area. Sit back on the oversized sectional and enjoy pasture/mountain views. After sunset enjoy the 100" drop-down theater screen with 200+ movies and streaming services via AppleTV and Denon 7.1 surround sound. There's even a swing set to be enjoyed by the young and old alike. Afternoons can be spent on the shaded front porch sitting area, or the back porch with an outdoor dining table and umbrella that seats 6 adjacent to the oversized 6-burner propane grill.
The kitchen is appointed with T-fal non-stick, All-Clad stainless steel and Lodge cast iron cookware. All kitchenware needed to prepare large meals are supplied (bowls, measuring cups, cutting boards, etc.). The kitchen provides service for 12 with Zwilling J.A. Henckels cutlery and Riedel glassware. All appliances are available to include air fryer, espresso machine, coffee maker, slow cookers, Griddler, Ninja blender, etc. Recently added is a huge 29.5 cu ft LG French Door refrigerator. The refrigerator also has a "Full-Convert" Drawer with five temperature settings to fit your family's needs. Choose from Chilled Wine, Deli/Snacks, Cold Drinks, Meat/Seafood, and Freeze settings. The LG Dishwasher is quiet enough to run while entertaining in the living room. Adjacent to the kitchen you'll find the oversized Samsung front load washer and dryer for all your laundry needs.
The bedrooms are configured to accommodate varying groups:
-The Master Bedroom features a King Size Tempur-Pedic brand bed under a soaring vaulted ceiling. The roomy Master Bath includes his & her sinks and a stand-alone shower all centered around a large tub in the middle of the room. There is also a futon in the Master Bedroom, which folds out into a full-size bed. It can be easily moved to another room for your convenience.
-The "Mini-Master" affords guests a Queen Size Tuft & Needle Memory Foam mattress set in front of a sliding glass door (flanked by windows) that leads to the back patio/outdoor dining area. The attached full bath offers a combination tub/shower. All this is framed under a the 18' vaulted ceiling. This room entertains with a 70" Samsung Smart TV.
-The "Western Bedroom" features two twin beds with a large window overlooking the front porch and acreage beyond. This room is decorated with custom framed landscape photography of local places you'll recognize on your adventures.
-The "Eastern Bedroom" is furnished with a Queen Sized Tuft & Needle memory foam mattress, vintage World's Fair artwork, wall-mounted 55" Samsung Smart TV, and a custom office desk with dual 27" Samsung displays.
The Eastern and Western bedrooms conveniently share a full bath located in the hallway attaching the rooms.
The home features radiant in-floor heat with huge vaulted ceilings throughout. Winter guests will stay comfy with the wood burning stove roaring in the living area. There's ample parking adjacent the attached 2 car garage.
Entertainment abounds with toys for the little one and board games/puzzles for the adults.
The home located just 15mins from Downtown Durango and 5mins from Mercy Medical Center. Purgatory ski area, just 30mins North of Durango is quick drive for a day of skiing. Wolf Creek, Silverton Mountain and Telluride ski areas are all within reach as well.

Summary: Kelsey and Lacy’s home is spacious and wonderful for big families. We have 5 kids ages 11months- 13 years and everyone was comfortable. There is a crib (although we used our pack n play in another room so our 5 and 9 year olds didn’t have to share a bed- there were two twins in the room with the crib- so we put the baby in his pack n play in the “office” room that had a queen, and they got the twins.) No A/c, but it was surprisingly comfortable temps- even in late august! The living area, bedrooms and bathrooms were all very spacious. The bathtub in the master is HUGE. Jets weren’t working, but that is fine by me. The beds were all very comfy- but the twins are probably only suitable for children- they weren’t as soft as the others. The swingset in the back kept our kids so happy! We did need our own shampoo and body wash- so be sure to bring it, but otherwise it is very well apppointed.

Summary: This is a lovely, clean, up-to-date home with all the necessary amenities and more. It is situated perfectly, allowing easy access to numerous indoor and outdoor destinations. If you like to cook your own meals, the house has everything, including a large table and bar seating made for gathering, conversation, and laughter. Just want a morning cup of coffee and eat meals out, that can also be accomplished with ease. If you're lucky like us, you might have a family of deer visit you in the late evening light for a close-up view. The property owners were wonderful, making check-in, check-out a breeze. They also provided all the necessary (and incidental) information about the house and the area, topping off the ease and enjoyment of the entire stay.

Summary: Everything about Kelsey and Lacey's home was perfect for our stay in Durango. All the comforts of home are provided to make traveling with kids easier. Summary: Like many of the other reviews I read prior to booking, we found the house to be quite spacious and perfect for a family vacation in Durango. We had room for family cooking, dinners & game playing. The owners are detailed and very responsive to questions via text which was great! Thanks for a wonderful stay - would definitely recommend!

Summary: We came to Colorado to visit family and vacation. This beautiful home was situated near Durango and perfectly accommodated my family. The owners were easy to communicate with and welcomed us with a nice card and easy to follow instructions for our stay and checked in with us during the week to ensure we didn’t need anything. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit.

Summary: This was a great house for a family spanning 3 generations. Kelsey and Lacey were very responsive when we had needs. The kitchen had everything one could want for any kind of cooking. Access to surrounding area for hikes, bicycling, and general tourist stuff was ideal.
