Welcome to the “Tillie House” located at 188 Marsh Island. She offers a cozy family getaway in a quiet neighborhood nestled in the middle of West Beach on Kiawah Island. This 4 Bedroom 3.5-bathroom home is a fabulous retreat in the island’s peaceful maritime forest of pines, palmettos, grand oaks, and wildlife. The open concept living room – kitchen allows for a perfect setting to entertain your family and friends. When you’re finished hosting, escape to your personal oversized master suite located on the first floor…soak in all the goodness in the whir-pool tub and get lost in a book. Travelling with kids or teens?... the frog is the perfect place for them to feel like they have their own place and sleeps 4. All the mattresses and beddings are brand new so take comfort so everyone in the house should have a great nights rest!
Enjoy your morning coffee on the back deck or screened in porch as you warm up into vacation mode. Take a short bike ride to enjoy an afternoon at the beach or meander through the dozens of miles of the bike trails on the island.
As our guest you will be near the 5 Championship Golf Courses on Kiawah, which includes the home of 2021 PGA- The Ocean Course; The #1 ranked tennis resort by Tennis Resorts Online, Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center; The Sanctuary Spa- a Forbes 2021 5star destination; dining, shopping and so much more. Located 40 minutes from Charleston, the souths most charming city, and one hour from the airport you will feel removed from the world but never be too far from endless options to entertain.
*We will consider welcoming a well behaved dog who is under 50 pounds, up to date with their vet care, recently groomed & preferably with good reference from a previous host. You will need to select the “pet” option at the time of booking to populate an accurate quote. (Extra Pet Fee of $500 will apply). Please message us if you are interested in bringing your dog. Anyone bringing a dog without prior notice will be subject to cancellation or asked to vacate the premises immediately.
Our local property management staff will be available to you in the case of an emergency during your stay. They are friendly and knowledgeable to the area in case you need assistance with amenities, planning and logistics prior to arrival Housekeeping during your stay is not included, but a mid-stay clean may be scheduled at time of booking upon availability. Guests do not have access to resort pools.

Summary: We enjoy the home very much! It was a bit too far away from The Sandcastle but we learned to enjoy the bike ride to reach Sandcastle and the beach. Your TV watching arrangement was very nice -especially since the Olympics were on. Thank you for your hospitality!

Summary: Back yard and back porch need some TLC. One bedroom has a rug that is heavy stained. Air quality was good as well as AC. Inside was clean.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in Kiawah at this well-appointed home. It had a well-stocked kitchen, a comfortable living area for watching TV and relaxing. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and updated. We loved being able to have our dog there. It was a very peaceful walk on the cul-de-sac in the evenings. Thank you.

Summary: Immaculate property - my family enjoyed everything about our stay. The house itself is located conveniently - short drive to the Sanctuary, Ryder Cup, and Fresh fields. For beach access, we found a parking area about 1/2-1 mile down the road which was very easy to load and unload our gear. We visited during a period of unusual weather so we got to spend more time than usual at the house - which ended up being absolutely wonderful. The kitchen and living area is large and comfortable. The entire set up of the house is great and comes with most everything you need for a great beach trip. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home :)

Summary: Good location. Close by Ocean course golf resort. Close by the Sanctuary hotel where you can rent a bike . Close by Fresh Field . The house is ok .Little expensive $ 1000 a night for the size of the house . Also I found 4 big Roaches in the bathroom and the living rooms. They should spray and clean it better before we arrived . Overall is okay . Thanks.
