Nestled on the north shore of Lost Lake, Camp Bishop was built in 1954 to serve the youth of Grays Harbor County. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we're offering private rental of camp to families and groups looking for a summer retreat. Property features waterfront with dock, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, a bouldering rock wall, two basketball courts and a gaga pit. Rental also includes a large dining hall and commercial kitchen facility, seasonal cabins (May through October), year round Lodge, and lots of acreage to explore. Dock space for personal boats, jet skis, and fishing. Lost Lake is a mid-sized lake and motorized boats are allowed. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and small-mouth bass and the Camp waterfront is some home to some of the best fishing on the lake.
Big water toys are seasonal and are not currently available.
Great for families of all ages, there is something for everyone!

Summary: This is our second year at Camp Bishop, and we loved every second. The staff are wonderful and make for an enjoyable and relaxing camp week. The lake is definitely the best part for all the kiddos and moms on floaties! Thanks for having us!

Summary: We had a fantastic time at this location. So many activities to do there. We were able to keep all vacationers busy all day. Communication was great and the staff on location was very helpful and friendly. Great time for all!

Summary: It was a wonderful experience. We did get snowed in for an extra day and they worked with me on pricing because it was because of the weather and brought my family extra food they had. I love this place

Summary: We stayed at Camp Bishop for our sports club team retreat and it worked out perfect. We had 16 teenagers and the facilities were everything we needed. We started our weekend with a quick hike and workout in the open field area and we had more than enough space. The lodge fit everyone comfortably and the bunks weren’t too bad. The dining hall kitchen was a dream to work in when feeding 16 hungry teenagers! When it was time to wind down we enjoyed the paddle boats, kayaks and fire pit. We plan to be back in the early summer to take advantage of the lake obstacle course!

Summary: My now husband and I were looking for a last minute location to hold our reception. This location was beyond what we ever thought possible! So many wonderful things about this location! Tons of beds in the cabins and even in the lodge. A beautiful location with beautiful scenery. Great staff, helpful and friendly! We're even talking about booking it next summer for a family get together!! Thank you for being so amazing! We appreciate you all so much!! You made our special day extra special ❤️

Summary: We had our wedding there this last Saturday! It was so amazing and the location is absolutely beautiful 😍 every single person who was there had such an amazing time!!!! We are definitely going to be renting again for some summer fun! Thank you guys for being so amazing and Sarah and Kim were so good with communicating. Litterly the best vrbo out there for a group setting with kids!!!! We can't wait to go again!!!

Summary: Camp Bishop was an absolute hit for our party of 15 moms and 25 kids. There were plenty of rooms and cabins so people could stay with their "pod" family or choose to have their own space. From the lake and ALL its toys to the gaga pit, the ropes course and sandy volleyball court, there was never a dull moment or "I'm bored"! We even did Barre3 classes on the gorgeous field. The commercial kitchen had ample refrigerator space, utensils, etc. Made cooking for 40 a breeze. The caretakers and life guards were warm and professional. It truly was the best way to end summer for kids and mom alike!

Summary: Throughout the pandemic, my family and my in-laws have utilized VRBO and its main competitor several times for family trips together and this was by far one of our favorite places to stay. Not having ever rented an entire summer camp, however, I had tons of questions for Sarah and she was so patient and always quick to respond and clarify. The property, cabins, lodge, dining hall, and dock area were immaculate -- the bathrooms were spotless and I have no idea how they managed to get summer camp cabins so clean. You can tell that the property caretakers really do care about the camp. Bring your own toiletries, towels and linens (or sleeping bags!), but everything else is provided. The kitchen has everything you need and my husband was thrilled to utilize the enormous stove and grill. The kids spent every waking minute in the lake, on the inflatable obstacle course and trampoline, and we all enjoyed trying out the paddle boats, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. There were plenty of life jackets to go around. There are a couple of trails to explore, a large field for soccer or baseball, small playground and rock wall, and games and pool tables in the lodge. It was quiet at night and we loved watching the bats at dusk swooping around over the dock (there were only two or three of them, but bats = no mosquitoes! We didn't even need to use the bug spray or citronella candles we brought just in case). The only downside was the county-wide burn ban, which meant no fire pit and no s'mores -- but that's pretty typical for summertime in Washington. This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay, and our combined six kids (ages 8-14) never ran out of things to do. I would love to stay here again.
