3 Bedroom House in Santa Cruz, Sevilla

Beautiful manor palace in the Plaza de Doña Elvira, in the center of the Barrio de Santa Cruz. It is a house that occupies the entire side of the square. It was built by the famous architect Fernando Chueca Goitia as his family home in Seville. It is the only house with garden and swimming pool two minutes from the Cathedral in the very heart of the Historical Quarter. A wonderful exclusivity.
It is accessed by an iron gate and the first thing we find is its garden with its palm trees, wisteria, and its wonderful pool. With chairs, chairs, the smell of orange blossom, and although this in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the history area, is a haven of peace. Linda with the Venerables.
Then you access the house by a large staircase.
Once inside the house, we have on our left a small room with its bathroom with shower, and in front of it is the kitchen. Following this main floor there is a guest toilet, then a large dining room and then the living room. We go up to the first floor and we have a large double room with its full bathroom, we call it the pink room, with 2 beds of 110 x2. Next we call the green room, with a King size double bed with its shower cloth. These beds can be divided into two 90 x2 beds.
Finally we get to a small exit, then a large bathroom and the main room, which we call blue, with King size double bed.
All of it with large windows overlooking the beautiful Plaza de Doña Elvira. Breathtaking views and with the peace and smell of orange blossom garden. An authentic palace in the heart of the Santa Cruz neighborhood.
ATTENTION.
The house also has a completely independent tower, with occupancy for 4, which also use the garden and pool.
You can rent the whole property, so that your use of the garden and pool would be completely private.

Summary: Our family loved this location, it was within just a few hundred yards of literally dozens of places to eat and sites to see (Cathedral, etc.). Arrival from airport will require a dropoff about 150 yds from the villa, as vehicles are not allowed (nor would they be able!) to pull up to this part of the Historic District. But very short walk. Check-in easy, home fully stocked with key appliances, very clean, it felt like a fancy hotel but we had it all to ourselves. We were there in a major heatwave (temps>100F for multiple days), the AC in the villa worked fine so we were able to sleep at night. We recommend renting bikes (there are spots all over the area). Host was lovely and responsive, both prior to our arrival in Spain and then while we were in Sevilla. Good stuff, you will enjoy your stay here!

Summary: The whole process was very easy. Rosario was our online contact and Elena took us through the property on arrival at the villa. The home is truly beautiful and very well appointed. The neighborhood is convenient to all Seville has to offer and it was so awesome having evenings in the portico or in the great room with all of our dearest friends. We only wish it were warm enough for the pool to be open, but now we have a great reason to return in the Summer months! Definitely stay here if you want a true Andalusian experience in the heart of Santa Cruz Barrio. LOVE!!!

Summary: This is a lovely villa, and you will definitely feel you are staying in a VILLA. Pictures and descriptions are accurate. We were a group of 5 women travelers. We received excellent instructions on finding the villa - it is in the pedestrian only area. We were met by the manager who showed us all the ins and outs of staying there - with an instruction book to back up any forgetfulness. The villa is decorated in antiques and comfortable furniture. Truly an exceptional experience. Excellent heating options - it was chilly outside at night in February. The location simply can’t be beat. We were about a 2 block walk to Real Alcazar and Cathedral. There were wonderful food options and night life near by. There are 4 bedrooms but we ended up doubling up in the twin beds room and one of the kings. We found the small bedroom bed, off the kitchen, not comfortable enough - it is a bit narrow. There is great closet/drawer space and comfortably sized bathrooms. We were so busy, we regretted that we never used the outdoor walled in patio/pool area. The pool was closed this time of year. We used the main living room often with it’s comfortable couches. A great place to un-plug and chat at the end of the day. We stayed 4 nights in this perfect location and this villa helped make Sevilla be at the top of our European experiences. There is a flight of stairs to the front entrance and a flight to the 3 bedrooms on the “2nd” level - all in all, 3 stories. We managed them fine, but also believe a railing would be a good addition going to the “3rd” floor bedrooms. The management is VERY responsive, even got us restaurant reservations when we struggled with the phone options. They stock soap for the clothes washing machine, this was very helpful. Never used the kitchen except for the wine opener - LOL. We were travelers from USA so we used WhatsApp for texting owners once we arrived in Sevilla. Thank you to the owners and managers for this lovely experience.

Summary: Not particularly clean when we arrived. Mustiness .Master bedroom has bed that is well worn. Kitchen is very small and not well appointed for cooking meals. Very small oven. Not many dish towels, napkins, not enough dishwasher soap, we left the kitchen much cleaner than it was when we arrived ! Not enough keys for a large group of people Clothes Washing Machine doesn’t work well and leaves soap on your clothes... No dryer Great location and spacious for a large group. Lots of beautiful antiques throughout Outdoor patio by the pool very worn and unkempt.. Overall we made due but the apartment needs a facelift Communication with the owner difficult because she doesn’t live there

Summary: This villa is stunningly beautiful and in a great location. I would certainly return! It is not for anyone with a handicap as the interior stairs are many and steep and have no handrails and the villa requires a walk of about two blocks with your luggage as it is in a pedestrian only zone. We arrived about 40 minutes early and were fortunate that a man in the restaurant next door was able to call the property manager for us. (I may have been given the number but I did not have it if so). For some reason when we booked, they said it would take us an hour from the train station and it was a quick 15 minute ride. The villa is beautiful, but we were initially turned off by the very green, algae-laden swimming pool which had been brilliant blue in the photos. We also were not forewarned that a pool man , who arrived the next day and spoke no English, had access to the villa and would be letting himself in and out. It was not a problem but a heads up would have been nice. The villa is next to a restaurant (with nice people and decent food). We were told it would be quiet at night, but it was not, as the customers were eating right beneath our windows and the cleanup often went on until the wee hours. I had hoped to keep my window open, but learned after two noisy nights to close my window and use the air conditioner. All of that being said, this is not “Kansas anymore, Toto” and European homes have their quirks. The beautiful villa with its stunning tile, woodwork and art will make you feel like royalty, the manager Elena was delightful, and the location is well worth the minor aggravations.
