Summary: Amazing Stay , upgraded to the Gold floor. Worth every penny. Wonderful experience Great food , great service and great atmosphere. Highly recommended Location is perfect and central to everything. The rooms are nice, but show signs of dating. Sound proofing is not ideal and the rooms are basic and on the small size. But like other fairmont properties you don’t book the hotel expecting a large room, so it was expected.

Summary: The location is great and the bed is very comfortable. I love this hotel but the housekeeper didn't clean the room throughly. I found out 1 opened water can left on the floor when I entered the room. The housekeeping manager emailed me to apologize. Hope they will clean the rooms throughly

Summary: We were excited to stay at the Fairmont Empress to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations. Despite mentioning the occasion during booking and check-in, it felt like no extra attention or care was given. Throughout our stay, the corridors often had carts filled with trash bags, dirty linens, and towels, which took away from the charm and elegance we were expecting. Additionally, the mattress in our room wasn’t very comfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, the location is beautiful, but the experience and attention to detail left a lot to be desired for such a renowned hotel.
