Private 2 Bedroom close to Boston! Enjoy the entire private 2nd-floor apartment of this home built in 1910. This home has updated amenities while keeping the charm of the original design. This 1200 sq feet of living space has a beautiful, private second-floor porch to enjoy the outdoors. This home is located within walking distance to a quaint downtown full of great restaurants and shops. This location is great for people looking to visit Boston, Encore Casino, Salem and New England.
This apartment has been recently updated while maintaining the original charm of this 1910-era home. Guests will enjoy a private 2-bedroom apartment with its own entrance. You will gain entry with a keyless lock with a passcode. There is off-street parking for 2 cars. This cozy space includes a mudroom with plenty of space for your belongings. There is a comfy TV room with a smart TV. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with three twin beds (2 loft and 1 floor level). Enjoy your coffee or dinner on the lovely and spacious private front porch. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at home, if that's your thing - dishwasher, disposal, stove, microwave, refrigerator, drip coffee maker, toaster, and tea kettle. There is also a large play loft on the 2nd floor of the apartment. It is full of all types of toys, games and fun for kids of all ages.
This apartment is located on a quiet, dead-end street in a safe neighborhood. There is a park just across the street that has a basketball court, a baseball diamond, green space, and a play structure. This home is just a short walking distance to the vibrant Main Street area, which has coffee shops, a post office, a grocery store, gift shops, restaurants, a wine and cheese shop, and much, much more!
Just down the street is the Middlesex Fells Reservation, which contains over 2500 acres for hiking, rock climbing or cross country skiing. It includes 340 acre Spot Pond which offers sailing, kayak, canoe, and rowboat rentals during the summer. Sailing lessons are also available.
Mount Hood is a wonderful public golf course in Melrose and a short drive from the house.
This home is 6 miles from Boston and close to public transit stations (MBTA). Oak Grove (The Orange Line ) is less than 1 mile. There are numerous bus stops close by that will bring you to Oak Grove. The Wyoming Hill Commuter Rail Station is within walking distance. This train station is two stops away from North Station Boston/Boston Garden (home of the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins) and a gateway station to all of Boston attractions and neighborhoods. This home is located 5 miles from the Encore Casino, 7 miles from Logan Airport, 10 miles from Salem MA. Melrose is located close to major highways Rt. 93, Rt 95 and Rt 1 which will make visiting the New England Sea Coast, historic Salem MA, Mountains and Lakes very convenient. Melrose is a great jumping-off point to all of these locations!

Summary: needed a place close to downton boston to pick up my son from school and celebrate moms day. the house was not far from where we needed to be. very nice house with lots of space and rooms. neighborhood safe and quiet. would def stay again

Summary: We had a lovely time. The only negative is that the beds are very uncomfortable. Especially the room with the bunk beds. We could feel springs. If they could replace the beds this would be a very comfortable place to stay. Don’t plan for long term stay if you want to save your back.

Summary: Our family of 5 includes an 8 year old, 6 year old, and 2 year old. The kids play area upstairs was a massive hit with all of them. Communication with the host was a breeze and the place was clean throughout. Great stay!

Summary: Excellent! The space is nicely furnished, extremely clean, and comfortable. Easy checkin/checkout process. Quiet and convenient location, with easy access to major roads, and walkable Melrose Main Street. The kitchen has enough utensils and cookware to facilitate meal prep. Comfy bed, and quality towels and linens. Sarah is easy to communicate with. I highly recommend, have stayed here 3 times, and would stay here again!

Summary: This house was perfect for our stay. Close to local town, you can walk to it. It was only a 20 min drive to Salem, which is what we were wanting. The house is just as shown, the porch was a favorite to just sit and enjoy coffee. It had all that we needed. If I had to say anything negative it was that I did not pay attention to the fact that it is upstairs. So if you have a lot of luggage as we did it could be a struggle. The host was quick to respond to any questions I had and I would definitely come back and recommend this house.

Summary: The unit is clean, spacious and well appointed. The deck is a charm place to relax with a cup of coffee. Quiet neighborhood with lots of dining options on Main Street. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: My family and I thought this place was very clean and fitted all of our needs. Great location. We were able to get to Salem within 30 minutes with some traffic. Host was great about communication and made check in and out simple.
