Summary: Location is in a nice neighborhood. Home was very clean. Few things to consider...owner will not work with you if you have an emergency. A BLIZZARD was coming and it was unsafe to travel. She told us to use trip insurance if we had it...we didn't. Her response was not empathetic or kind. We decided to come a day ahead of the BLIZZARD and stay in a hotel so we did not lose the money. Lucky we found a room as we had our elderly dog with us which limits options. On arrival to the house, in a foot of snow and negative wind chill, we were locked out. Owner did let us in after trying the code several times. Said she had this issue before (so why not fix it?). There are signs in the home suggesting how to leave a 5 star rating. Next, the home is set up for small size people. Chairs a very small and plastic. My husband is a big farmer so he couldn't sit at the table. Couch is also small. Instructions for using the 4 tv remote controls was not accurate - more frustration. Figured it out on the last day. Beds were perfect. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied except for wine glasses. Again, small bowls and utensils. Not the worst thing, but it adds to the frustration. Felt like we started off poorly after we almost lost our money and dealt with the attitude of the owner. Its not always what you do, but how you do it. We are frequent short term rental customers with a 5 star rating. Not sure we would deal with this owner again.
