Positive: Siegfried and Carmel are fabulous hosts. They met us with cold drinks - very much appreciated after a long day of travel. Carmel spent some time talking with us before showing us our accommodations and answered all of our questions. The breakfasts were lovely - fruit, yogurt. delicious bread with marmalade, and eggs with a wonderful egg boiler. Everything was explained and easy to use. Lots of suggestions for things to do. Quiet and a 5 minute drive (20 minute walk) downtown. Mia is a very friendly dog! Bed was comfortable and everything was clean.

Negative: Nothing. Everything was wonderful.

Positive: We've recently had a few days Fantail Lodge. The owners Carmel and Siegfried were so welcoming and everything was perfect. We had our own space which included a well stocked kitchen and dining area. Breakfast items were delivered fresh on request each day and it really was a cosy little home from home, particularly during the storms that we encountered during our stay. Nothing is too much trouble and I would highly recommend staying there if you are planning your itinerary in the area. 🥰

Negative: The distance to the town was a little to far to walk, which meant driving to get to the restaurants for evening meals. Other than that it was a very pleasant place to stay.

Positive: The view is spectacular, spa pool relaxing and the breakfast supplied very generous. The air conditioner is a life saver.

Negative: The rooms are west facing and very hot upon return after the day's activities, only one of the rooms had a fan. The air conditioner however was a life saver.

Positive: The house it self and the view. Hospitality and kindness of the hosts. You can watch the sunset from your room. We could keep our bag in one room and stay in the other room. We had the whole foor to our selfs. I spent my birthday here and Sigfried and Carmel were so nice and gave me a birthday card and Sigrfried even played happy birthday on a saxafone for me! I would always stay here if i were in Thames again :)

Positive: This delightful place is a true bed and breakfast. The accommodation is upstairs of the hosts home . It has 2 spacious beautifully styled bedrooms with stunning views out to the ocean . The beds and pillows were really comfortable and it’s very quiet . There is a light filled sitting room with kitchenette , fridge , microwave and dining table, smart TV with Netflix and a variety of free channels and a lovely bathroom with lots of little extras . The home is set on a hill with huge gardens and there is even a hot tub where you could watch the sunsets . Breakfast is delivered to you the night before so u can sleep in . Our hosts Carmel and Seygfried made our stay very special . Their kindness and hospitality left us feeling sad to leave .
