Welcome to the Bermuda Drive Abode! Staycation - Vacation - Any-Cation!
We are located in Fleming Island, FL which is Southwest of Jacksonville and about 40 minutes from Jacksonville International Airport. This is a cozy home - great for families or a small group of friends traveling together. The kitchen area is a great hangout - whether it's enjoying morning coffee at the pub top table - or stepping out to the covered patio and relaxing in one of the great rocking chairs - or sipping an evening beverage while dinner is being made! The dining area features seating for all 6 guests and is just off of the kitchen. Unwind in the cozy living room at the end of your day of fun - and enjoy your favorite programs on the SMART TV. Don't forget to bring your login information for your Hulu, Netflix, or Amazon Prime Accounts. We offer YOUTUBE TV with 80+ channels to choose from. There is a great park for kids just around the corner! There is a lot of shopping & restaurants nearby. Doctor's Lake Marina is 10 minutes away.
The Owner's Suite features a King Size Bed and En-Suite Bathroom. We also have a Smart TV in the Owner's Suite. The first Guest Bedroom features a Queen Size Bed and the second Guest Bedroom offers two twin beds and also a work area, just in case! We also have a Marvel Super Hero's Arcade Game for a little video game fun! The backyard is quite large and fully fenced for your pup! We are pet friendly! Additional cleaning/pet hair removal fee required. Fee is per pet. Pets must be disclosed in advance. Max 2 dogs. All dogs are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. Fleas and ticks are very rampant in this area and can cause harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets. All items above are the sole responsibility of the dog owner. Failure to disclose the pet in advance will result in a $500 fee.
There is some much to see and do in our surrounding area - whether you enjoy shopping or being on the water - great restaurants - golf - or even if you're here visiting family! You're also close enough to Jacksonville to take in a concert or sporting event! Some amenities are nearby - an additional fee may be required. Bike rental, boat rental, paddleboard rental, golf, etc.
**Parties are strictly prohibited - as noted in the rental agreement. Penalties will be enforced. The property is monitored by Noise Aware as noted in the booking agreement.
**Also note - our living area floors are a beige tile with brown flecks with a dark grout. The floors are cleaned and steamed in between guest stays with us.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Guest Arrival is anytime 4pm EST or after. If the property is approved for early arrival, you will receive a message letting you know you can arrive early and we will activate the door code. If you do not receive a message, then the arrival will remain at 4pm EST.
Guest Departure is anytime 10am EST or before. If you have not departed by this time and do not have written prior approval for a late departure, you will be assessed a $50 late departure fee for every 30 minute delay. The Cleaning Services we use schedule their teams for multiple cleans in advance and any unplanned delays create issues. With unscheduled/unapproved late departures, they are required to bring in additional team members to assist, which incurs a higher cost that must be charged. Any requests made for a late departure must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance of departure time and are subject to approval/availability.

Summary: As a girls weekend getaway, we felt totally safe in this family feel neighborhood. Seems to be in a good area of Fleming Island. We were perfect distance between Green Cove Springs and Thrasher Horne Center in Orange Park where we wanted to be. Supermarket & some restaurants in reasonable driving distance. Management was instantly responsive and wonderfully understanding when I had confusion over the lock. My confusion, not theirs, I'm older and do not have much experience with door codes. Interior is clean and spacious. Living & dining furniture very homey. Kithchen well equipped. Mattresses were adequate; no shower stall; tubs /showers with older plumbing fixtures was a little tough for some to turn on and adjust. We did not have pets, but says pet friendly. Does have fence, but careful since small pets could easily get through holes at bottom of fence. We would stay here again or recommend.

Summary: Our stay was fine. We had everything that we needed there. The property could use some updating, landscaping, and fresh decor in our opinion though. Make sure you are aware that dogs are allowed if you pan to stay there (fur).

Summary: Visited our son and his family in the area. Perfect location & neighborhood. House was spacious & exactly what we needed. Only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because there were a lot of old stains on chairs and carpets. I did inform them so hopefully they will be taken care of.

Summary: We booked this VRBO because of the proximity to the surgery center where my husband was having a procedure done. This home also offered a recliner which was a must have and this was the only VRBO we found that had one.

Summary: The house is nice and there is a pleasant welcome. Our dog sitter wasn't available so it was nice to get away with the dogs. It was a nice touch to have waste bags provided. But we discovered the fence had some broken pickets so we were always on guard when letting the dogs out to make sure they didn't squeeze through. There were some other issues, that we didn't bring up since we were only there a few days. The master bed is very soft, an adjustment for us being used to a firm mattress. The faucet switch for the tub/shower doesn't work well, so the shower pressure is low. There is no hose outside or cleaning supplies, which made coming back from the beach a bit of a mess. Finally the instructions say the day for trash and recycling, but there was no recycling bin. Minor details, but given the price per night, I'd have expected a bit more.

Summary: Spacious home to accommodate families. We had 5 adults and one child in our group, and stayed here because it was close to relatives who live in Fleming Island. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, close to stores/restaurants, and feels quite spacious. Kitchen is nicely updated and having a washer/dryer is always a bonus! The hosts were so nice and provided excellent communication. We would stay here again if we return to the area.
